Works excellent with hoop & loop sandpaper discs, as well as hook & loop buffing and polishing pads.

Worked well polishing two vehicles. No issues with pulling apart from the polishing pads. Even worked well with my hook and loop sanding pads at high speeds.

Great backing plate and it comes with a polishing pad. It has a washer and is threaded to screw into your orbital polisher. This will not work with a dual action polisher because it is threaded. This backing plate will work with any 6 inch buffing pads.

The backing pad has done fine the 2 times I've used it. The intermediate pad on the other hand fell apart slinging adhesive all over the side of my clients car. No Bueno! As my luck would have it I missed my return window by 8 days. Backer pad is good would recommend but intermediate pad that's comes with it either was made with a bad batch of adhesion or just a p.o.s. which cost me almost 3 extra hrs detailing.

PC one did not age well, foam backing deteriorated from age not use. This is a suitable replacement, I like that the foam pad is hook and loop and not integral

I needed this for my Porter-Cable 6” buffer. It was a simple installation and man is that fresh hook & loop (Velcro style) strong !!! Keeps wool pads in place with no issues !!!Worked great and a great value !!!

Tight hold on your pads but the foam pad when it heats up comes unglued and you polishing pad flies off I suggest just use the backing plate only so you don’t have any mishaps like I did . By the way the foam pad comes un glued from its the Velcro after about 15 minutes into first use!

I have a TORQ 10FX (great buffer by the way), and as many users know, the backing plate that comes with this DA is very cheap. After just one full car (full compound, polish, and sealant) the backing plate broke.So far, this one has held up to its fair hit of abuse. For the price, it’s a great replacement and I’m sure will last me quite a while.
