You need to be careful bending copper tubing, but this helps quite a bit. (I'm using it for 1/2").

This is a handy little set of tubing benders at an economical price. They are not as heavily made as some benders I have used commercially but still seem to get the job done. If you've ever tried to shape tubing by hand you know the difficulty of getting a nice bend without putting a 'kink' in the tubing. These act to prevent that so that one side of the tube can be stretched while the other is compressed while you shape it. The picture displays a nice sweeping bend I made on a brass tube using the kit.
