This product is rated a 5 for its versatility. Be sure to read the directions on how to use this product. The method listed/described on the can was effective when the oven was preheated, and later when cold. Make sure the electrical switches are off.I also used this product on my cast iron skillet (yes, I clean my skillet. Can’t deal with the “salt clean” blah blah) and on my glass top stove. Worked wonders on the glass top, cuts through grease and burnt food and salt like a CHARM.

The reviews that say this will hurt if inhaled are correct. Open windows/doors, spray and walk away. Used it on an oven that the roommates had let get so bad it started a "chimney fire" and on a very greasy stovetop. Worked great on both after following directions.

The Sprayway Heavy-Duty Oven & Grill Cleaner is a decent product that gets the job done. I purchased the 20 Fl Oz bottle, and it has been effective in removing oil and grease from my oven and grill.The cleaner's performance is satisfactory - it does manage to tackle tough stains and grime, but I find that I need to use a considerable amount of the product to achieve the desired results. While it does remove the oil and grease, it requires some extra effort and elbow grease, especially for stubborn, baked-on residues.The 20 Fl Oz size is convenient and provides enough product for several cleaning sessions. However, considering that I need to use a bit more of the cleaner for effective results, it might not last as long as I initially thought.One aspect that I appreciate is the relatively mild scent of the product. It's not too overpowering or unpleasant, which is a plus during the cleaning process. However, it's worth noting that it still has a typical chemical smell, albeit less intense than some other heavy-duty cleaners.As for its versatility, I've only used it on my oven and grill, and it has worked fine for those purposes. Honestly, nothing that I have ever used previously did the job like this.I also used it on my fancy, enamel coated, Dutch Oven -- which had some serious baked-on grease stains. When using the oven cleaner for this-- it did take of a bit of the enamel in a space (the bottom) where you cannot see the loss. Presently, my preference is to clean it than to preserve it perfectly with grease stains. But, I understand if people prefer to preserve the cookware over the staining. It's just personal preference.

I used this on a rack that I use in the oven to reheat food. The rack had been treated many times with Pam and washed after each use. Still, the Pam left a baked on coating that I was not able to remove by had scrubbing.I used the product as directed and after 2 applications the baked on Pam came off. It did require some light scrubbing with a brush.I would recommend it. It satisfied my needs.
