Come August, you start to struggle for light after 8.30pm, these shuttle cocks are brilliant! An alternative ploy for getting kids out into the garden playing, although they are both happy to play garden badminton anytime. They have a smidge different weight to the normal garden shuttlecocks, but basically they play the same as other garden grade ones, except you can find these when launched into a bush by accident. The red or green light is switched on and off using small switch inside the middle bit. They haven't run out yet, but only had them 5 months. Not used really now as wet winter.

It's got goose feathers so it flys good. I thought they were going to have rubber noses but they still hit and fly good. The nose lights up I honestly like that. The ones I got last year the light was in the butt and if you used the brighter lights it would blind you.

I don't dislike these, but they will take you some time to get use too. They are a little more heavy than regular birdies, but not so much, that you would think you would have to change your game over them, but you do. You have to learn to hit them a lot harder than regular birdies to play good. A better choice would be, just to install lights if you want to play at night. Just like me, they looked cool, and I thought. The Grandkids would love these, but they did not. My only suggestion would be, is if your kids or grandkids are 10 or so older, that way. They would be able to adjust to the gameplay with these better than little kids.

These are excellent, kids have played badminton in the dark with great peels of laughter with these. Look fairly robust, not sure how long the batteries will last but we switch them off after every use.

All of the lights continue to work despite me beating the crap out of these birdies continuously. They fly perfectly and the different colors are so much fun. A couple of the lights have come out....but can be easily be fixed. I still have a couple that are brand new. I will absolutely buy more of these.

They fly true and straight. The LED shines through to nose so you can see it flying at night. Comes in multiple colors. Makes night playing possible.

Due to the LED Fittings, they become heavy as compared to regular shuttles, so when u hit it with a racket it flies away like a rocket, hence the entire game changes, so not for professional use but definitely for fun and primarily for nighttime playing, we had some really great time playing with it, enjoy it, feels little over priced too,,,

They work great and don't get tore up super fast. It is easy to fix the feathers if they get messed up from hitting it. They are heavier then a plastic birdie so got to hit it a little harder but they go so much better in the air. The colors are bright for night play. The flashing one however is a little hard to focus on at night.

We ordered these shuttlecocks to replace an inferior brand which had broken lights without replaceable batteries that we had to return. To our surprise, we were incredibly pleased with these replacements after our first experience! Because they came in larger quantities, we found the price was equal to or better than the inferior brand we returned. When they arrived, the packaging was impressive, the quality was excellent, the lights were brighter, the nose lit up (unlike the other brand), and they had replaceable batteries. We bought quite a few sets and did find a few that had trouble switching, which was probably an exception. We contacted support, and they immediately requested our order information and replaced the few defective shuttlecocks we had found. In our opinion, both the product and the company are excellent, not to mention how fun it is playing at night with the grandchildren!

We checked all the birdies before use. One kind of came off and on when it was hit the first few times, but after about 5 minutes of use, seemed to get knocked into "on" for the rest of the play for an hour or so. We live in a windy area where you can't play badminton much during the daylight hours. When the wind dies down, there is not enough light to play! These solve this issue. We used 4 birdies and due to the real feathers used, one was practically shredded beyond the capability for future use after just this one night of normal play. The other 3 seem okay. So, if we lose one per hour of play, we will still get lots of use out of these. My 12 yo son used Christmas money to buy these and I was afraid he was going to be sad with his purchase. But he was excited that they were so much fun. Now we need a light up net and light up rackets! We were all afraid someone was going to get hit in the face because we could not see each other well from the light in the kitchen coming through the windows to the back yard. Can't wait to try with friends.

These are nice and bright, and have a little more weight to them than traditional shuttlecocks. They are highly visible at night, perfect for playing a quick game with your kids after dark. The tail broke off one of them, and one of them turns off sporadically if you hit it REALLY hard, but overall we are pleased with this purchase.
