I have to admit that I am not a coach. My wife is a big NBA fan, and I ordered this as a sort of gag gift for her. She can keep the team schedule clipped to the clipboard, and use her natural coaching talents to draw up imaginary plays with the included dry erase pen. The pen has a small eraser on the end, but I think a cloth or larger eraser might be better if you’re a real coach and will be using this for serious coaching. This is really a nice clipboard for its intended purpose. The plastic surface with bold court outlines looks really nice, and is easy to draw on and wipe off. The clasp at the top works well and there is an included holder for a dry erase marker. The marker holder has a lot of range and should be able to hold a full size marker rather than the included “mini marker”. The clipboard is about the width and a couple of inches longer than a standard piece of paper (see photo)For the $3.99 price, I think this is actually a very nice clipboard, even without the court outlines and dry erase marking function. For use by a real coach, I think it’s quite a bargain for a high quality clipboard.
