I have mine on several acres and works great keeping my 115 pound guard dog home. Collars stay charged for weeks in end as my digs don’t test boundaries because they respect the system. I’ve had it in place since 2021. Fence wire placement is important as I have a horse who likes to dig it up. Definitely have to have a little patience to teach your dog there boundary if it isn’t accompanied by a fence but they learn fast and product works well.

I waited until I have had this for a few months before giving a review. It was easy to install, I am 55yr old woman and my yard is about an acre. I followed the directions for training and it took about 3 days before my dog understood his boundaries. (I just adopted a 18 month old dog from the shelter who has a lot of energy and loves to run). The invisible fence system gives my dog so much freedom. Would definitely recommend!

The product description was not accurate for the lake loop, it doesn't show 5' space between the wires which is very important for small lake properties like mine. Once you get the product home , you have to open the box which is not sealed, and pull out the instructions and that exercise cost me can $112,99!As per seller instructions, I returned the product and received only partial refund! because of the open box policy. Amazon was not helpful because the seller didn't sent any labels!? and good luck actually talking to someone in customer service. So be very careful before you buy the product from them!!I am very disappointed with both seller and Amazon!

We got this just so our dogs wouldn't want to dig under their fence and get out and it definitely works for that! They, obviously, could see the fence boundary so no having to learn the boundary with the flags. If you zip tie this to your fence the dogs seem to learn it pretty fast. Took our Aussie and retriever about an hour max. We put the distance to shock near the fence boundary on zero on the box so they could get about a foot or closer to the fence before it actually shocked them and this worked perfect since we just wanted it to shock them if they tried to sit there and dig under the fence. Our Aussie did fine with the lowest shock setting on her collar but our retriever was tougher and needed a notch higher! Overall the fence worked perfectly the way it should and the collars are working just as explained! Learning to adjust the box distance from fence to shock and collar intensity on the dog is the only thing that took us a min but it's pretty self explanatory. We put our box under our back porch for our "weatherproof spot" and ran the wires along the edge of the house to the pen. Unless there's a flaw with this from just a manufacture malfunction out of the box, it shouldn't give anyone any trouble if you set it up the way the manual says! So if you're reading reviews to decide on which boundary system you should buy I'd recommend this one for sure!

This is just the best thing! We went from running after our Bichon around the neighbourhood to not even thinking about where he is when he is outside. He goes outside whenever he wants, we do not need to lead him out on a leash, I do not need to go with him and that is perfect for me and my family! We love our Bichon and this has just made it so much less stressful having a pet in a residential area. Also life saving for our Bichon, no more running across the street at unpredictable times.

Bought this additional collar for when I have other dogs visiting. (I already had the sportdog system and one collar.) Worked perfect right out of the box.

I installed this on our cottage property and had it up and running in about 6 hours. The training was easy to follow and the dogs understood the boundaries quite easily. The rechargeable collar is wonderful as it stays charged for a long time. The only thing I didn't like was the wire is only 20 gauge and is quite flimsy - there was a lot of rock and the wire has to stay above ground. Perhaps 20 gauge is adequate if you can bury it completely. Also when I opened the packaging one wire spool had come apart during transport and was quite difficult to roll out. I ended up rewinding onto a plastic spool and discovered many breaks in the wire covering so I could not use the defective wire. The other spool fell apart while unrolling so it seems to be a poor design. I plan to replace all the wire with 14 gauge next year as I don't expect that the flimsy wire will survive the winter exposed.

Little labor goes a long way. Completely buried the wire - even in the woods to keep the critters from chewing. Very easy to hook up and install. Dog responded within first couple corrections. Now responds immediately at the warning beeps. Sits and watches the squirrels from the barrier zone. Follow the training directions in the booklet from start to finish and unless your dog is super stubborn, all should be good. Not sure on battery life yet - only been a couple weeks. So far, 100% satisfied 👍🏻

I felt compelled to write this review because of some of the negative reviews that just don’t seem accurate to me. This product has been flawless since I bought and installed it in March of 2020. The installation, set up, training, battery life of the collar and reliability have been absolutely fantastic. Our girl is so used to the boundaries now that I don’t even worry about sending her outside without the collar for a quick break first thing in the AM or last one before bed, she won’t venture past the boundaries now regardless of a collar on her neck or not. Our neighbor got a new pup this spring and she wanted so bad to say hello at the fence so I took the collar off so she could get up close but nope, not crossing that line Dad! So I don’t understand some of the negative reviews at all, my experience has been great and we just welcomed a new puppy to the family last week so will be ordering another collar for him when he is old enough. As for install, a few tricks I used worth suggesting as I have an acre and a half contained was to just staple the wire along fencing where it already existed and my favorite trick, I used inexpensive 1/2” PEX drip line irrigation tubbing ( about 10 bucks per 100ft at HD) to fish the wire through and just layed it on top of the ground 200-300 foot or more on sides of my property with no fencing along the edge of the woods for example and this protects the wire from getting damaged and does not impact the signal at all. I hardly used a shovel on this project at all. For the average DIY’er this is a about a 3 on the scale of 1-10 in difficulty, all it took was a little of my spare time which has been gained back 100 fold in time not spent watching the dog to make sure she does not go wandering or worse driving around looking for my adventurer….not to mention the peace of mind that she is safe and in the yard.

Fence instructions were a little hard to follow, they weren’t terrible or poorly translated, just difficult to follow. Installation wasn’t easy, but it wasn’t terrible either. It is easier with two people. The base unit is fine, but we wanted to mount it vertically and the mounting holes only allow for mounting horizontally. We did it anyway, and it got knocked off. The charging cable broke off on the fall (the small prongs that plug into the unit are pretty fragile) and I have to buy a new one. It kinda sucks, but it was my fault.I would like it better if you could set a warning zone size and a stimulation zone size. The instructions state it only gives 20% warning size to 80% stimulation size, but the ratio can’t be changed.Collar is made for dogs of many sizes, so there is quite a bit of extra length on my medium sized dog. I’m sure it can be cut down, but it would be nice to have neck size options instead of one-size-fits-all.I really do love the fence. And for the price, it is great. Just a little sweat and time required.
