The mold was delivered when promised and, as with all Do-it moulds, is a beautifully made bit of kit. Well worth the price. Thank you.

You MUST keep the mold hot to have good castings. The handles should be longer. I often get burned when I have the mold open to remove the castings. The sprue is very large for such a small weight.

I would not recommend this mold unless you have a separate heat source for the mold and lead. The mold has to be very hot before the hot lead goes in. Good luck trying to get a full mold. There is a lot of excess that needs to be cut off. Get the purest lead for this split shot. I recommend replacing the wood handles with longer wood handles because the mold will be very hot and I always seem to burn my thumb because there is not much grip on the stock handles. Practice, practice, practice and you will get it to work.

This is a nice mold and as any other Do-It mold it works great! It works best to warm it up first then cast away. This mold makes a ton of small slip sinkers fast.
