I ordered this spinning reel cover for my 10yr old son because he has taken an interest in fishing. He wanted to take care of his fishing reel and asks for reel cover so that is reason for ordering this cover. The cover did fit but not really. It is tight and very awkward to install. Maybe order larger or largest size to actually cover all of the spinning reel.

I am nearing retirement and have been accumulating an extensive collection of rods, high-end reels, and numerous lures. I take care of any type of equipment I acquire because I want it to last. I don't buy "throw-away" items. I pay my hard-earned money on good things made to last. I like my fishing gear and take steps to protect and care for it all. That care means I know it will work for me the way it was designed time after time hopefully for years to come. This product is designed to protect a spinning during transport and while in storage. Works with right or left-handed reels. Just loop it over the rod and Velcro it closed.

This little pouch is exactly what I needed for traveling with multiple rod and reel setups. Especially when traveling with multiple people who bring multiple setups apiece. Since they all tend to tangle so badly when they combine in the bed of the truck, I was looking for something to reduce my setups' abilities to become wound up in that mess. I have combined this with a rod sleeve, and I haven't had any issues since. The product I am reviewing is for the 10/100/1000 size, and that is the size reel I used it on. It would be too small for a larger series, so keep that in mind when selecting your size. Otherwise, super happy with this little bag.

While I have had numerous baitcasting and fly reel covers, I can't remember ever owning a spinning reel cover. The Pristis Spinning Reel Cover is one of the first I have seen anywhere, and it does the job nicely. (Although others seem to be appearing on Amazon now.) It was a bit awkward trying to attach the cover the first time, but once it was on the reel, it was very secure, and the reel was protected from minor bumps and scrapes. As I said, initially it was a challenge to attach this reel cover, but I imagine with repetition, it will become easier. The one I acquired was the Small size, for 1000 & 2000 sized spinning reels, and was first used with a KastKing 2000 spinning reel. However, I did try it on a Shimano 2500 spinning reel and it worked fine. And, it is a good value at its current price.

This cover gives great protection to your spinning reel. It is thick enough to keep it from being damaged by bumps and getting tangled with other rods during transport or storage. Just be sure to order the correct size to ensure a good fit.

...but I definitely am using it on my best reel.Fairly straight forward, wrap around reel and then between handle, velcro shut.This would be great for any reels that are exposed during travel - towing a boat or extended fishing trips - to keep out mud, bugs, etc..A big bonus in my opinion is that it also helps to minimize tangles from other equipment. So if you carry a few reels, this cover will help to keep them separated.
