5 STARS since it is great for fruit trees that require a lot of water or love to have extra tree food being fed on the regular to due growing a lot of low hanging branches that produce fruit during the summer.Would be great for oranges and lemons that are growing in the city but only have small dirt area for nutrient uptake. Also can be used for emergency watering in case rain is not falling on a regular basis in your area.I will update as I use it more with my fruit trees in WI.

The hose kept popping off from the pressure surge when starting. They need to design a more positive connection.

For drip irrigation the fittings can come undone from the water pressure pretty easily, but they work well. I will need to apply rtv to the fittings. I might try another brand fitting if that doesn't hold up

Since my husband is the gardener in the family, I ordered these for him. He recently used them when he planted some new berry bushes. Helps keep these thirsty new plants well hydrated. They are performing well , easy to put in and a good value.

I love this item, perfect for deep feeding my Norwegian Spruce. Use a post hole digger to dig deep and set the unit in place, length adjusts easily with a screwing motion. Makes deep root watering a breeze.

This works as advertised, although it's not very deep and I don't see the value of it. Personally, it's more of an inconvenience. This needs to be connected to a water line. Most of the work (and potential additional cost) will be running that line. If I have the water line, then it's so much easier to use that system--especially if it's a sprinkler system or drip line. This doesn't have a timer or anything to stop the water flow, so I'll need a watering timer anyway, otherwise I'll have to remember to turn the water on and off. I have a sprinkler system with a timer, but if the sprinkler system is running, why am I using this? The way I see it, I could get most of the functionality provided by this Root Quencher Jr by putting a PVC pipe with holes into the ground. There might be something more to this product, but I'm not seeing it.
