It seemed like chalk. That is until I got over the 400lb mark on my deadlift. That's when I really noticed the difference. The main difference I noticed is that it is a fine smooth powder. it gets into the grooves of the skin better. This allows me better contact with the knurling. I also find that I have to chalk up less as it stays on my hand and not so much on the bar.

Quality chalk that smells pleasant from the bag and is ultra pure and fluffy. Keeps the hands nicely dry for about half of a 45min long weightlifting workout.No need to try other chalk since this does the exact job I needed and will last a long while.

There is absolutely nothing special about this chalk other than it's way over priced. The name and description is very misleading, if not blatant false advertising. With other products out there with the "Spider" name, such as the ever famous Spider Tacky, which is VERY sticky, I was lured in. I realize this is not tacky, rather chalk, but calling it "Spider" chalk and saying its sticky is just dishonest. There's nothing at all sticky about it, it's just chalk and IMO there are better magnesium carbonate products for a lot cheaper.

Normally I'm a block of chalk type of guy for powerlifting, but I saw this advertised and yes I was drawn in by it's appearance. It looked good, sounded good, reviews were postiive sp i gave it a shot. Every time I stick my hand in and rub against my other and it looks a full thin layer of chalk, covering your palms, and fingers. It's a thin layer so you can get the best grip possible and it sticks just like the strength of a spider web. I personally really enjoy using this chalk so I'll stick to this stuff for a while (no pun intended). Overall, it's a little more pricey than your typical block of chalk but the quality is there. I'd recommend this to any powerlifter, strongman, climber, etc.

I wish I would have bought this a long time ago! I use this for rock climbing, weightlifting, and gymnastic ring workouts. I use a chalk bag and only require a small amount to get sufficient grip. Also, if you using it indoors, it doesn't make nearly the amount of mess as other chalks. Great product! Will buy again!

Ok... Chalk seems like a simple enough thing right? I used to rock climb a lot and climbing chalk has no equal. I've used it for years and still do. I've even shared it with some of my friends who lift weights. And even they were like "Wow... this chalk is much better than regular gym chalk".Among my friends I'm thought of as a "Gear-head", always looking to improve myself and my gear.Spider Chalk is EXCELLENT! I'm serious, this stuff really works. It's not a climbing chalk per se, but it would be excellent as such. The powder form is very fine and "smooth". With this chalk, you don't need to use as much or chalk up as often. It has a "tacky" feel to it, almost sticky sorta.I bought one bag and some blocks to try. And I've just two more...lolThis is becoming my "go-to" chalk, for when I really need to get a serious grip on whatever.Would definitely recommend it :)

Okay, so when I bought this, I had a hard time believing that not a chalk was the same, but they were right.With a house full of gymnasts, rock climbers, and weight lifters, we have daily need for chaulk. We usally buy what ever is available at the local sports stores, so we have tried several brands, and out of alll of them, this chalk sticks the best.I can get through multiple rounds of a workout with our having to re-chalk. For fun, I even wiped my hands all over my clothes, after doing a set, to see if it would come off, but my hands were still white.It might be in my mind too, but I feel like this chalk makes less of a mess. Maybe because it's heavier, I'm not sure. But when I chalk my hands it doesn't float around and make a big cloud, it just falls right back down into the bucket.
