These are excellent quality. They went in just like they should on my tundra double cab.Two notes, in all of the fiddling that happens during assembly, do NOT forget to make them face the correct direction, so that your grease fitting will be able to reach the zerks, after assembly.Even when they are facing the right direction, they can be a serious challenge to lubricate, on this vehicle. Pump them full of tacky, red grease before you reinstall the shaft. FYI, the factory crankshaft as Spicer stamped all over it. So don’t worry about it being good enough. Besides, OEM universal joints don’t have grease fittings.

Good quality u-joint. Fit well. Solid construction. Don’t forget to pack it with lithium bases grease. Grease gun it after installing too. Google Spicer and follow the instructions.

Fit was prefect, I was very hesitant ordering any auto part on Amazon but when I did my research these worked perfectly as my auto parts store had the same ones for double the price and my other part store was almost double the price.

On the box: Spicer Drivetrain Products 5-178X universal joint kit UPS 023913121013 Made in USA.In the box - 1 u-joint, zerk fitting and 4 brass retraining clips.I had purchased a comparable Moog u-joint and was disappointed to find it was made in Mexico (at least it wasn't China). Further, it had a grease fitting that resembled a bicycle inner tube valve stem that would require a different tip on my grease gun. This part looks solid and included a standard zerk in the package with the retaining clips. Something new to me was the brass clips; I've always seen steel. Nice idea, no rust! Installation onto the front driveline of my 2004 4WD Ford F250 was as expected, filled them up with grease and expect many years service out of them.Good value, only a few dollars more than the imported product and American quality. Very satisfied.

I have a 2002 Silverado 1500 4x4 with an extended cab, standard bed, and 5.3L.This product did not fit any of the 4 positions on my truck. I have an OE Spicer driveline. This bearing cup size is 1.188" on this u-joint. At the transmission, I needed a 1.063". Interestingly enough, at the transfer case I required a 1.063" cup size for the driveline and a 1.125" cup size to the transfer case. So I ended up buying two u-joints of different cup size (both Spicer) and then swapped two cups over. However, the quality of these u-joints are fantastic (5 stars) and I would recommend purchasing if they will fit your vehicle.

These appear to be of very good quality and so far they ride very well. They don't get rid of the "clunk" shifting between P, R, and D on a 2005-2009 Mustang, but I believe the clunk is just from normal backlash (tolerance for play) in the driveline, and the two-piece driveshaft that comes stock from Ford. I'll try to update my review after I put a few thousand miles on them or if I have any issues with them. For anyone who has a 2007 Mustang 4.0L V6 with replaceable u-joints (with the snap rings) -- THESE U-JOINTS WILL FIT. I spent a long time researching online and only found one or two forum posts that mentioned this u-joint as an alternative to the factory Ford U-joints. I took a gamble and went based on those posts even though Amazon and just about every other site on the internet says they don't fit my car. Advance Auto, Autozone, etc... all had nothing in their systems for u-joints that fit my vehicle. Seeing as a mustang is rear-wheel drive and obviously has u-joints, I found that pretty frustrating. Long story short. If you have an s197 Mustang with a V6 and replaceable u-joints (I'm not sure about the V8 model) these u-joints will work for you, or at least they work well for me and were the exact same size as the u-joints from the factory.UPDATE: I now have 10,000+ miles on the car since installing these u-joints with no issues other than some excess grease slinging under my car, but that was likely due to my addition of grease via the zerk fittings when I installed them, might have put too much. No noises, etc.. still going strong. I will update the review if I have any issues with these that I deem to be premature failure.

Always used Spicer products without one failure. Even if there abused they still last longer the the ones in the the yellow box. Go ahead and hold the same product from a yellow box up next to a Spicer and you'll see the difference right away. One thing I did notice on some of the last Spicer's I have purchased was right on the label it says "CROSS MADE IN CHINA, OTHER COMP. MADE IN USA" That is very unfortunate since the cross is the most important part. I don't like it, but it's still a Spicer. I suppose we'll still use Spicer up until they think they need to make the whole thing there, then it will be on to a USA made product.
