If you don't need a receiver that talks to you this one does the job well! Note: If you don't want to burn though batteries buy the rechargeable kit. It's Pacific for this model.

Have had one of these radios and use it with both flying and sailing for over 15 years. I am very comfortable with this radio and glad I could purchase another one so could transfer aircraft or sailboats to use with it.

I was used to the old am or fm radios . What a difference. No losing my planes now due to someone being on the channel I am on . Also I only need this one transmitter as you can program it for multiple planes . I am retired and on a budget so I waited for the Black Friday specials to buy and saved $50 plus free Amazon shipping . Great deal !

My grandson really enjoys remote toys. He is getting bigger now and flying airplanes is becoming the thing. Some come with receivers and no hand held transmitters. This year I decided, as a grandpa, to go overboard and buy him something that will control most anything his little heart might desire. I’ve heard this is the go to Controler. My son now has something that he can use with my grand son.

This transmitter is very easy to program, lots and lots of functions. Lightweight, fits nice in the hands, wish the gimbles were a little closer to the sides, folks with small hands/fingers might have an issue.They could also make the gimbles more adjustable as they don't adjust shorter very much.VERY IMPORTANT--If you need to use the SD card slot for updating firmware or saving model info you MUST use a Sandisk SD card as other brands won't work. Took me a weak emailing tech support and looking online to figure that out. Can't understand why they sell this thing with AA batteries as they do not last long at all. Don't hesitate to buy the rechargeable battery and charger. Can't really go wrong with this transmitter given the price.
