About this item

  • LONG-LASTING: Lycra Xtra Life fabric lasts 5-10x longer than ordinary spandex by retaining original shape and resisting color fade
  • Stripes create channeling effect to streamline water away from the body.
  • Longer legs for added coverage and compression fit.
  • Internal drawcord at waist.

Speedo equals better fit, performance, quality, and innovation. The Youth Taper Spliced jammer is a great team or everyday suit with athletic color block details from our race/performance line. The jammer styling is great for adding compression during your swims to reduce fatigue. The suit features trademarked Powerflex Xtra Life Lycra which lasts 5 to 10 times longer than traditional lycra. So no bag and sag, and it looks like new for longer. Our flatlock seam technology offers stronger seams, optimal stretch, and added comfort. The suit is ideal for swim meets, lap swimming, pool play, or any water activity. Look and feel your best in or out of the water, while you play, train or win in speedo, the choice of champions.

Quite stretchy so they are really comfortable and easier to get on and off than some of the more advanced suits. Perfect fit on me but you have to get the fit dialled in a little. Im a 33-34 waist but I go for a 32 in these. When I was younger (and smaller), I was 32-33 inch waist and would wear a 30 in these. So seems the sizes are a little on the larger size when compared to the size label. But I hope Speedo never stop making these.

Purchased for a championship meet. Not sure if the suit had anything to do with it, but my son best times all around. It's fun to wear because the indents in the suit get a shade darker when wet. It leaves a neat striped effect. We sized down a whole size. Competition suits should fit like skin. He complained when getting it on but said he got used to the feel. We will purchase these again.

It's one of my son's favorite Swimsuit Jammers. He is currently 6'4" and 195 lb and wearing size 32 for swim meets and size 34 for every-day swimming. I have been buying these Jammers (among few other brands) for the past few years. It's has been always difficult to buy him jammers. These are great jammers for following reasons:- LENGTH. My son' prefers jammers as long as possible and these stretch to the knee or below!- COMFORT. They are comfortable, especially around thighs/legs/knees. My son has big sporty thighs and most jammers are too tight for him, pressuring blood circulation. These are perfect.- WAIST. These will work for those swimmers who like High-Waist jammer. My son has very long legs and the way he is built - he can't wear low-waist jammers (most are). He simply can't bend in those without them going too low behind - not a great picture for swimmers. lol..- WEARING. It will last, but.. here is the trick. My swimmer has multiple suits available for him for the season. He swims basically every day, 2 hours competitively (weekends usually are swim meets). He has 4-5 jammers for daily swim and 2-3 for Swim Meets. They are rotated. They are washed after each swim, the sooner - the better in lukewarm water (chlorine destroys them otherwise). I compare them to shoes: wear the same pair daily - it will get ruined pretty fast; wear few pairs rotating them - they will last for a long time.

Not meant for a practice suit!! It will not last!! Love these for meet meet suits for young kids. It repels water like a big kid tech suit. Our last jammer lasted 16 months of year round meets. The 2nd season it was not worn for warm ups. (Live and learn) Our skinny 85lb 4ft 11, 11 yr old wears the 26. We ordered a 24 and 26 and the 24 didnt make it up. He is a standard 26 practice suit. He does squeeze into a tyr tracer B 24 for championship meets with help. He wears a 14 slim pant.

I purchased these for my 4 year old, who always complains about his legs chaffing from boardshorts. They are very snug (as they should be) and require a little bit of "shaking him in", as you would a pillow into a pillowcase. He loves his "swimmies" and is happy with the color and the feel of the fabric. Thumbs up!

The chart size from Speedo is not so accurate. According to size chart 24 is for waist 30-31". My 12 years old weights 105lb, 5'4" tall, waist size 28". He wears size 26 at practice and I was told to get a size down for meets. Well, we should've check it out in a store. It looks like a toddler's jammer! As shown in picture, I placed a measuring tape across the waist line and it's less than 9", when i stretched it to the max, it's about 12". So I think size 24 is more for waist size 24"-26". The fabric feels very sleek to touch. Not sure how well it'll perform in water. That's why I gave 3 stars. Seller was very helpful in returning. I will have to pay for the returning shipping but that's ok. The online price is much better than the local stores.

These are supposed to be super tight for kids that are on a team, or swim seriously. Having said that, I find this suit to fit on the smaller side. My twins are 7, 46.75 inches tall and weigh 42lb. Very very skinny. They wear 6Slim pants and their waists measure barely 21 inches. The size 22 are tight all around and I could get them in the 24s (which I bought too)... They will not wear the 22s for long but since the price was so good, I don't mind. So overall, for an average-sized American child, I'd say that the shorts run tight.
