Although this is compact, I am use to the straight edge handles. It was harder for me to get use to the curved blades to cut with. Hence the lesser star value. Good price, just not for me.

Cubre mis expectativas excepto que no me familiarizó con las cuvias y tuve que comprar otras de la misma marca.

just what I was looking for! the tool pieces themselves can be a bit of a challenge to remove when switching out tips, but not too much of a challenge.

Corta poco o nada, hice devolución ya que para lo que lo necesito no sirve una pena porque tiene muy buen aspecto y todas sus puntas en el interior guardadas

I had one before, loved it, but broke it. I ordered this thinking it was the same, but the blades have a hook on the insertion end, no instructions on how to insert. I wondered why all the cutting edges of the blades looked the same width. Frustration!!!!As I was writing this, I realized that this was the "pull" version. Duh. I didn't know there was such a thing. The "hooks" were the cutting blades. I loaded the blade properly, and it worked by pulling the blade towards me. Not sure I like this version, but will give it a try.

These are a nice alternative to the linoleum cutter assortment. The fact that you pull instead of push makes it a lot safer to use, but the fine detailing control is not as great.

I'm an art teacher, and ordered several of these for my students, not realizing that they were different from the old "push" style cutters. I agree that they are safer for kids or beginners to use, however they are harder to use in my opinion. Also, the quality of the blades were inconsistent...some were sharp enough to cut easily, and others were duller and hard to use. Additionally, because of the shape of the blade, they are completely impossible for a left handed person to use.

Bought to carve rubber stamps. I'm a beginner. This tool is great to get started and see what styles work for me. It's comfortable for my hand and I'm able to get replacement blades w ease. I live in a hi humid area I highly recommend you leave a piece if chalk in the handle w blades as they tarnish. It doesn't affect the cut but thought you'd want to know. Take care.

This Halloween, I didn't want to carve my pumpkins in the traditional sense (cutting out holes in the pumpkin). I wanted to do more than that and the Speedball fit the bill perfectly. Sure, it's meant for carving stamps, but the principle is the same. It goes through the thick skin easily and requires little effort.I was able to do a full face carving of Walter White (from Breaking Bad) in about two hours with this product. I was really impressed the results.I wish they made the cutting tips out of stainless steel. That would really help cut down on the rusting. Also, the collet is a bit difficult to use. The cutting tips tend to get stuck when unscrewing them.
