This is my go to tool when I need to cut stainless steel and other steel. The mill cuts silently, chips are consistent and the tool stays sharp for very long. In fact I only used one until now because the tool is like new after many cuts, no problem. I will only use Speed Tiger tools from now on, no point in spending money on other tools and wonder if they will have the job done.

I bought the 1/4 with .06R. Using a adaptive tool path with 7500.RPM .025 step over 1/2 deep with 75.IPM feed was to easy I bumped feed up to 150.IPM was still easy but all my old machine could do. next time ill use .040 step over starting at 75.IPM again. Great end mills that last a long time in 1018 like this. Slotting is also a breeze without chatter if I remember correctly I went 40. IPM @ 7500.RPM .125 deep.

I was a little skeptical but my regular supplier had to order an equivalent endmill which would take two days and cost $120. This also tool two days, but cost $40. I haven’t purchased endmills from amazon before, but I will definitely continue. The Speed Tiger looks wild! And exquisitely beautiful! And it’s doing the job extraordinary well! I’m cutting titanium parts, and the Speed Tiger leaves such a superb finish that it stands out in contrast to the other cutter paths. It is very durable. These are 7 hour parts, and as I write, it’s cutting its 4th part with no sign of degradation. To answer some of the other reviewers complaints:This is a carbide endmill! It is brittle by nature. If you do anything wrong, it will break! That’s what carbide does! This is absolutely not for use in a hand tool or with a flimsy setup. Speeds and feeds are critical and vary enormously with different materials. Wrong speed, wrong feedrate, sudden change in depth of cut, hitting an unplanned corner in the stock, or anything loose in the setup, and any carbide cutter will break! But if you treat them right, wow! What a difference!

I used 80 SFM 0.25 depth of cut with an adaptive clearing tool path that started in a pre drilled hole. Chip load was ~.004 and the first second it touched Titanium it shattered. The toolpath was exactly what was expected, no crash it just shattered. I have milled titanium some in the past and had way better success with other tools. Maybe I got one that was fractured, but this was just pathetic.

The people who said these were bad endmills were not using the correct speeds and feeds or were doing something else incorrectly. These are EXCELLENT. I used one on a few blocks of 304 and was blown away. At first, it was chattering like crazy in a circular interpolation hole path and I couldn't figure it out. Well duh, this endmill I bought has a LARGE corner radius, so much so it's nearly a ball and I forgot to take that into consideration. Once I adjusted, I was able to get the best finish out of 304 I've ever gotten - that includes using Iscar and Helical A-plus tools that were $100+ a piece. I am loving the speed tiger stuff. The IPVR coating looks like an ALTiN or TiAlN type, Their aluminum bright endmills are amazing their roughers? Wicked good. I can't figure out how to screw up feeds with that one. The 1/4, .06r is one of my new favorite tools. I've beaten the snot out of it and it keeps going. Hands down one of the best finishers I've ever used.
