I purchased these replacement filter elements for my Spectre glass fuel filter. My old filter element was sacrificed to replace the one in my brother's car. I only needed one element but the pack of three was inexpensive enough to warrant the purchase. The filter is exactly what I expected and dropped right in where the old one came out. It's plastic and the mesh is very small so even little tiny flakes of crud will still get caught in the filter. I've put these filters on three cars now and it's pretty amazing how much little stuff they catch.. The kit also includes new O-Rings to seal the glass tube to the barbed ends in case yours are worn or cracked. The only thing that isn't included is the knurled "collar" that screws down and secures the filter element in place. It does what it needs to do and having a few extra on hand isn't a bad idea. I'll throw the spares in the glovebox and hope I never need to use them!

40 micron filter replacements for the Spectre Clearview fuel filter. Great value and you have to throw away less when its time to replace them. I use them on my 87' truck and just bought these for my lawn mower. Comes with the three filters and six gaskets so that you have everything to do the job.

I purchased and installed two of these types of filters on my 1970 Morris "Mini" Pickup and loved them. They work great and you can see exactly how clean the filters are. I just bought two more for my 1968 Austin Cooper S. On both cars, I installed one in between the gas tank and the fuel pump and another right before the carburetor. I purchased two sets of these replacement filters for later on; they are less expensive than even the cheapest of fuel filters found at my local auto part dealer and the quality is great.
