Dip manufactured natural rubber tubing has elastic qualities superior to extruded tubing or tubing made from other synthetic elastomers. One of the consequences of dip manufacturing is that the tubing is sold in random lengths by the manufacturer. We receive the bulk tubing and immediately sort it by length and package it in sealed opaque plastic bags to preserve freshness. Then we ship it to Amazon warehouses where our inventories are kept small and replenished as often as weekly. This is important because natural rubber is a perishable product for which proper storage and age matter. Although our primary focus is spearfishing accessories, many of the products we sell have a myriad of other applications. This is the same material used in healthcare and laboratories where it is more commonly referred to as surgical tubing. I ordered a 4ft section of tubing but received a length that was 2.5” shorter. Was planning to use this tubing to replace the elastic tubing on two toy bows (Zing air storm). Each bow requires 2ft of tubing so I ordered the 4ft. In my experience, When buying other materials based on length, usually the store will err on the side of more rather than less. Haven’t contacted the seller yet. Wanted to warn folks to double check the measured length received before starting a project.

Also purchased to replace the strings on an Zing toy bow. Works great from the get go. Hopefully it will last a couple of years. The strings that came with the bow deteriorated, even being stored indoors in the closet, like a rubber band does. Will see how this latex tubing holds up.
