I make scale building and terrain for railroads and roleplaying games and this chipboard works excellently on my laser engraver/cutter.

I had to buy some more chipboard for a project for school because I ran out and my local Michaels didn’t have any in stock. It’s pretty sturdy and about the same quality as the chipboard I got from Michaels. It was also very easy to cut through, which made making my project a breeze.

It's light chipboard, so I expect some bending, but since I cut it in small pieces, it's not an issue. I've been using this particular chipboard for about 5 years (same package - i don't use it very quickly) and it has remained un-warped and in good condition the whole time. I'm buying it again.

I used this to make interchangeable season/holidays images for a sign in my house. It is extremely thin. Thinner than I expected. After cutting on my maker part of the backing ripped but they came out okay. Next time I will buy a thicker type for these projects for sure.

I needed something sturdier than card stock but easier to cut than thick cardboard. This worked great. I made a miniature scene for a dungeons and dragons campaign and this was used to make a second floor and pillars. I had to glue two of these together for the floor as they weren't sturdy enough with just one, but two held up great. They are flexible enough to roll into a tube for a support pillar, and did not hurt my hand while I was cutting. I'm sure these have many practical purposes so I was happy to get a large pack of them for future projects.

Measured the chipboard thickness with a digital caliper. It measures:0.60mm0.0235 inch (a little less than 1/32 inch)23.5 milsThat is a little bit thicker than typical cereal box cardboard. It has a definite grain to it so it will bend easier in one direction than the other when you turn it 90 degrees. The color is a little darker brown than a brown paper grocery bag. Does not seem to delaminate with handling. It will be used to make internal supports for paper models of airplanes, ships, and other items needing internal support to help them maintain a specific shape.

Thicker than 18-point chipboard and SLIGHTLY thicker than the 20-point chipboard I'd previously purchased elsewhere, yet thin enough that it still cuts easily. I use it for lightweight small notepad backing; it's flexible but provides a little bit of backing support. Works perfectly with my rotary paper trimmer (Akiles Roll-a-Blade), heavy-duty binding machine (Akiles WireMac 21), and corner rounder (Lassco Wizer Cornerounder). I'm not sure if low-cost punch-type corner-rounders (like you find in the scrapbooking section of Walmart, for instance) would cut through this chipboard, it might be too heavy for them, haven't tested that (I threw away all my cheap corner-rounders because they didn't work very well on ANYTHING heavier than printer-weight cardstock, so I don't have any left to test with). But my Lassco cuts through this chipboard like butter. -------NOTE that ALL chipboard has a "grain" which means that it's stiffer in one direction and more flexible in the other direction (90 degrees away), so when you cut your chipboard, cut it so that the grain provides the stiffness in the direction that's best for your particular project - for my little notepads, I prefer the grain to be running vertically (up and down) which makes the finished product SEEM stiffer than if I'd cut the chipboard the other way around. I'll be buying more of this chipboard as needed - I like the weight of it, although I ALSO like to use thinner 18pt and 20pt chipboards for other projects. It's good to have a variety of different weights of chipboard, depending on what you're making. This chipboard is sturdy enough for light projects, but it's NOT the mega-heavyweight plywood-like thick stuff like hardbound-book backings.

I was looking for chipboard to make my own scrapbook albums, because I do not like purchasing the precut kind at Michaels. These chipboard sheets cut perfectly in my sizzix big shot. I made beautiful scrapbook albums using this chipboard, the Grand Nestabilities dies and my Sizzix Big Shot. I had to run it in my Big Shot 3 times before it cut through it. The results were amazing. I was able to make different albums using different dies from the Spellbinders Grand Nestabilities collection. I had previously purchased the medium weight chipboard but I could not cut in my Big Shot no matter how many times I ran it through. This light chipboard cuts very nicely. Even though it's light, it is sturdy enough to make a nice book. i am wondering if it will work in my Cricut machine, and when i try this, I will post addendum.
