Great replacement! Still using ... lasted longer than original piece!

Only got the T-handle. No post or hardware was included. The way it is presented shows a t-handle and a post.

Saved my cooler. I used large stainless screws and it works great. One of my screws poked through, so I clipped it off and caulked over it.

These things are awesome so far. I retrofitted them to an igloo 120qt cooler. I got sick of replacing the cheap plastic latches on the igloo. This works great as a replacement latch. They don't match up hole for hole, so you will have to do some engineering/drilling/fitting but anyone with any mechanical ability should be able to get these to work great.I have no idea for longevity but will report back after a season (a season is all an Igloo latch would last for me and its about the same cost). Why don't cooler MFG's just use something like this to start with?Use binding posts (see photo) to affix latches. This prevents screws pulling out, another common issue with igloo or coleman coolers. I intentionally installed mine upside down for clearance and ease of use on my boat. Most people would install the latch portion to the lid and the post catch to the body of cooler.Update~02/2020Nearly 4 years later and still going strong. They brought a cheap but still usable, old cooler back to life.Old girl was one step from the sawzall and two from the landfill. I'm happy it could be resurrrected and useful, being green and all.Fyi, they make fairly inexpensive stainless steel hinges for igloo and coleman coolers. If you go to the trouble of replacing the latches, might as well do those too. I did and dont regret it.

They were as expected. I put them on the front hatches of my 28' boat which takes a beating in rough seas.

Great little latch, but beware that the "U" shaped latch keeper on this in not the same as in the picture on Amazon. In the Amazon image the two screws go from "out" to "in" (see the recessed holes in the picture?), but the one receivedis designed to be held by screws from "in" to "out".If you're trying to find a match like the one in the picture like I was, you'll be disappointed.

My boat came with these and after 8 years the sun and the water got to them, These were easy to install, even thought I could not use the same holes. The work great, just like the ones that were put on buy the factory.

I use four Flexible T-Handle Draw Latch Southco Non-Conductive hold downs to secure the boot in my RV. It is so much easier then unbolting the boot to get to the engine.
