I was very impressed. The magnets are far stronger than I thought. That should translate to a decent holding strength. The snaps set quick and easy. I wish more snaps came in the package but still a far better deal than buying a package of 1 or 2 locally.

The magnets are very strong. If you use these to secure cloth or thin materials, the strength of the magnets may cause the material to tear. The "tool", singular (see photo) included does not match the 2 tools featured prominently in the product photos. While the singular single punch tool can be used, it does not have the utility of the double punch, qnd the leg bending tool, while not critical, would make setting the snaps easier.

I got these for a couple leatherworking projects I have, and overall they seem really good. They feel very sturdy, and seem to actually have a good bit of force holding the faces of them together with just the magnet in one side. Based on what I've seen so far, I suspect they'll last longer than normal snaps, as I've had a few of those over the years wear out and not hold very securely, barring some kind of unexpected damage to these magnetic ones anyways. They are also very slim compared to many options I've tried in the past, so they won't bulk up a smaller piece like a concho might for example, and if you design it right, you can make the back side of them invisible, leaving only the locking faces to see. I feel these are great little snaps, that I'd be happy to use on most of my projects, other than maybe wallets but that's just my personal preference, I'd rather keep magnets away from my cards as much as possible. Maybe it would be fine, but I don't know. Other than that, I would say there's lots of other purposes for these though.tl;dr-Pros:-good quality-they offer a strong closure-easy to install-quite slim for what they are, reducing bulkCons:-would be afraid of demagnetizing cards or having it interfere somehow with their ability to function. (maybe not really possible, I do not know, but for that reason, I don't use it on wallets)Overall, I highly recommend this product, and I feel it's a great option for lots of leather projects, and likely could work for other non-leather things too.

I was worried that, being magnetic, the button might pop open with any pressure to do so. I'm glad to say that I was needlessly worried. I have replaced pant buttons with great success. No pop opens, and no issues with placement, movement, or comfort. These work great! The instructions are easy to follow, and all you need is a hammer to secure the button, otherwise it comes with everything you need.

Compared to the Swpeet brand (which I returned), this Sopnom brand magnetic snap is not only thinner, but significantly stronger in the magnetic hold. Like 2-3x the magnetic hold. The fabric you install these on should be strong, so that you don't tear the fabric pulling apart the magnetic snaps!This has the included installation tools, which are really important when installing the round rivet backing, otherwise the rivet shaft will deform the dome. The concave shape of the installation tool supports the rounded button so the full force is distributed across the whole snap. The best way to install these is with the included tools and an arbor press.

The first thing I did was make sure it came with a full set. The set comprises 10 silver magnetic buttons and 10 bronze which comprises 2 snaps and 2 washers per button (female magnet to male magnet and then one clasp on the backside of each).The magnetic fasteners are exactly what I need for some of my pants which have lost buttons. I had tried a simple removable pin type button, but the back clasp stuck out a lot and poked into my lower stomach. These have a low profile so they don’t project out far into your stomach or into your shirts.The instructions are easy to follow, and it comes with a hole punch awl to poke holes for the button prongs to fit through. The magnetic strength is very strong, so your pants or purse won’t fly open unexpectedly!

These magnetic fasteners hold very well, and are easy to install. The provided tools mate to the surfaces perfectly, and do not leave any marks on the installed fasteners.The fasteners themselves are pretty strong. Good magnet keeps the two pieces together. The small bump in the male piece mates well to the small depression in the female part, and keeps the two pieces perfectly aligned.The included installation instructions are sufficient. I had no prior experience, and installed one of those on the first try. I was surprised that I had to hammer it down quite a bit for a firm contact.I think that this is a great product at a great price.Recommended!

I chose these as I wanted to add magnetic clasps to a felt bedside organizer and a few other things that need fixing. This is a good kit that comes with everything needed including instructions, tools, and the clasps in both in silver and bronze (10 sets each). The only thing you’ll need to supply is a hammer. It comes with instructions that show two different techniques for attaching the clasps. These become a lot easier to install once you’ve done a couple and know the steps. It comes with a strong magnetic holder that makes attaching these a lot easier. These clasps are so handy and have many uses.The case it came in unfortunately came broken in several spots. There was a large hole that someone had stuck a barcode sticker over it so nothing would fall out (at least it came complete) and the clip to close the case was broken off. I was able to glue a piece to fix the hole but I’m going to need to find somewhere else to store them as it won’t close. It does not appear that the damage occurred during shipping and was sent to me this way.The case is only a minor component though and the clasps themselves work very well. These are exactly what I needed to finish my project.
