Great! But I did buy this to use on a snoot and they’re not compatible. I had to McGyver something to get it to work.

These are a great set for use with my gobo projector. Solidly made and don't take a beating if dropped.

I made a snoot to hold the gobos. The light that would fit the snoot was a bright led camping type light, so not as bright as a professional light. Because the disks are small, they aren’t going to make a large shadow pattern so I’d say these gobos are limited to projects that are smaller than portraits. Maybe some still life projects where some subtle shading is needed. It all depends on the brightness of the light source and how well the snoot fits and how far away the light can be placed away from the photo set.The disks are stamped out cleanly and don’t have burrs on the surface. The metal is thick enough to withstand pushing around inside the snoot to get a better alignment with the light source. Some of the designs were classic, like the window frame and the swirly line one. They store away without taking up a lot of room. These aren’t worthless, but if I wanted to use gobos, and I was serious about photography, I’d invest in lights first, then start using real world shadow makers like tree branches and such. These are good for teaching the principle of creating artificial shadows within a photograph.
