Surprisingly, it actually works fine. I’ve had so much bad luck with these type of appliances over the years eating my VHS tapes over and over again. This was a refreshing change.

I had a Go Video dual DVD/VCR unit that I purchased new where the DVD side failed. I bought this reconditioned Sony unit to replace the Go Video unit and the same thing happened - the DVD side of the Sony unit did not last long. It says “ loading” and then says “this disc cannot be played.”

I'm very happy with this DVD/VHS Combo player. I was so happy to find one when my old one quit functioning. This arrived packed VERY professionally just as well as any new item. It plays both my dvds and vhs copies! It contained any needed connectors and I would highly recommend this to anyone considering it.

Viewing vhs tape worked fine. Rewinding was not possible. The machine jammed the tape. Dvd player did not work well--discs would freeze for minutes then jump forward. I will.not buy another reworked product.

I love this combo. Instructions for connecting to my TV were fairly easy to follow - and I'm a 74 year old female. All cables were included, along with an adaptor, and it didn't have to connect to my cable box. I'm very happy with it. A couple of my friends are considering purchasing one because we all have many VHS tapes.

This VHS/DVD Combo player comes with a HD Video Converter. It does not have an onboard HDMI port. And, the HDMI Converter doesn't work on my newer TV without AV inputs. After trying different ports on my old TV, I got it to work there. I would not have purchased this VHS/DVD Combo, had I known that it wouldn't work on my newer TV.*Note: I found out the AV/HDMI converter needed to be connected to the USB port in the TV. After that was done, it seems to work fine.
