Chances are if you're even viewing this item you have an older camera that you're having trouble finding cassettes for.Such was my case as well. It seems they were out of stock everywhere locally, if Digital8 was even stocked. Online searches revealed a surprising dearth of the product as well, and those found were sold for exorbitant fees. With the industry gearing towards more modern media it seems even organizations like Sony are making their own older cameras irrelevant, despite their excellent durability and function, by reducing the amount of tape on the market.Economics: go figure.Needless to say, it's a great product that works perfectly for my purposes, even though availability makes it much less economical than newer media (i.e.: SD Card).Be aware that using Hi8 cassettes for Digital8 cameras significantly reduces the recording time. Digital8 cams spool tape faster than Hi8 cams, capturing data differently, and using more tape per minute of recording.
