Coming from an a7iv, it’s obviously not the same but I was glad that the video quality was not a sacrifice. There’s no compromise in video, for such a compact camera, with a flippy screen, it’s definitely worth what you’re paying if something like an a7siii or a7iv are out of budget or you just want something smaller

I bought this a6700 kit to take high-quality photos and videos during backpacking trips. I wanted a camera that could take RAW photos, could capture 10-bit 4k video, had an EVF, had at least a 1" sensor, and was compact enough to fit in my camera pod, and the Sony a6700 with the 16-50mm collapsible lens was basically the only camera currently on the market that fit all the requirements. Happy with my purchase. The battery life is great too; one battery lasted me the entirety of a recent three-day backpacking trip.

I used to shoot fuji and liked their small body format. I was looking for a smaller but effective backup camera to my a7r. I want to do more of street photography and must travel professionally a lot. I was looking for the X100IV but very quickly gave up on the idea...everyone can guess why!So here I am with this little wonder - the a6700, my first Sony APS-C.Not perfect but pretty close. The ergonomics are great with a good size grip. The images are fantastic and the body format is just what I needed when I added the Smallrig extension. The auto-focus is amazing (especially compared to Fuji). The EVF is small and pixels limited but usable. I would consider the LCD good because I do not use it too much - I need reading glasses for that, which is a pain. The only mistake I made is to buy it with the 16-50mm kit lens which is quite a let down, except maybe for the size. I quickly bought the Sigma 18-50mm f2.8 and the Sony 20mm f2.8 which are saviors for what I want to do, and the latest makes it pocketable. Overall, great experience so far.
