Power On and Start
Load Battery - Option 1
Use 3 pieces AA battery. Load
batteries in the battery compartment. Pay much attention to batteries polarity. Wrong polarity connections would not power up the metronome.
USB Cable - Option 2
Use a USB cable ( not included ) connecting the metronome to any USB power source. The power voltage required is 5V.
Power On/Off & Start/Pause Metronome
After power connected, press and hold button On/Off for 2 seconds to turn on the power of metronome.
Press button On/Off to start or pause metronome.
Indicator Works
When metronome started, the indicator flashes and the sound outputs from speaker.
Red color for beat accent, and green color for others.
Volume and Voice
Volume Change
Change metronome volume level.
Turn the volume wheel to turn up or down the volume of beat and/or human voice counting volume.
Use Ear Plug
It is a stereo output jack.
If using a stereo earphone, both sides are a same sound.
Turn On/Off Woman Voice Counting
Press the button and hold for 2 seconds to turn On human voice counting. Another press and hold to turn Off.
Operation Panel
Beat Change
Press to change beat out of 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9. No accent or human voice counting for beat 0. The factory preset beat is 4.
Tempo Change
Press Up or Down button to increase or decrease the tempo. Tempo ranges from 40bpm to 208bpm. The factory preset tempo is 120bpm.
Rhythm Change
Press the Rhythm button to pick a rhythm out of multi choices of time value to practice.

I used this for giving guitar lessons and it has plenty of options. The voice, albeit a bit annoying, is good for keeping students on the beat because they can hear the word "one" better than keeping track of the slightly different first beat inbthe sequence.

I am only writing this in case someone else is searching for a sound device to help a deaf pet. Our cat lost his vision a couple of years ago after his blood pressure spiked. He has been completely blind for almost 3 years but learned his way around the house . We recently decided to change the flooring and were worried that he would have to relearn. We have been careful to keep the rugs and furniture in the same place over the years but it was time for a massive change.We placed the metronome near his food bowl. The metronome is perfect. We adjusted the sound and volume to resemble a ticking clock. We love that we can plug it into an outlet and don't have to worry about replacing batteries.I am hoping that the metronome eased some of the adjustment with the new flooring since he seems to be able to easily find his food and water bowl. We plan to keep it there.

I like this metronome for its simplistic features and ease of use . I am happy with the features is has , such as different rhythms , the voice count off and different counts up to 9 . The volume is loud enough to hear when playing and the built in stand is convenient. Very happy with this item as a practice tool .
