How it all began...
Solmate Socks was started in the year 2000 by Marianne Wakerlin with the simple idea that “Life’s too short for matching socks.” As a lifelong textile artist, she knew there was a market for beautifully crafted socks made right here in America.
When Marianne retired in 2015, her son, Randy, and daughter-in-law, Lisa, dedicated themselves to carrying on the family tradition of creating highly coveted, treasured works of art that can be worn on your own two feet.

I’ve been splurging on a pair of these socks here and there for years. Sol mate socks are well made and super comfy! The colors are fun, and they’re super warm. When I saw that they had an ankle sock selection, I had to give them a try. I love them, and look forward to getting more in different colors!

After treating myself to a pair of these socks whilst on holiday earlier in the year and loving them I was delighted to find them for sale on Amazon.I have size 9 feet and the large fits perfectly. They stay in place and are very comfortable. Feet stay cool on warm days and warm on the cooler days. The design and colours are a little bit quirky and much admired.I’m gradually replacing my inadequate trainer socks with these.Highly recommend

I love these socks. I have purchased almost a dozen pairs of Solmate mismatched socks for myself and family members. At first I purchased for the unique quirkiness and feel-good factor of recycled materials and North American manufacture, but subsequently I returned for the durability and high quality. I am happy to pay the price for all of these factors. I will undoubtedly buy more!

Best socks ever! My neighbor stress me buying them because it was her favorite of choice. Now mine too! They are high quality, durable, breathable and the most comfortable of all. Because of the thickness I was not sure it would be easy to wear in any shoes.... I was so wrong! It’s not like that at all. It’s a true score a 10 at the highest! A good conversation piece too! Expensive but will last many years! Well worth the $$$!!!!
