I make Headpins with a 1.5 or 2.25 looper. This copper wire is the right hardness so it cuts easily. Very affordable too. It also oxidizes nicely, so it’s pretty darn pure.

I used this wire for making jewelry. It is easy to handle, bends well, and is beautiful.

Great quality, in fact I’m buying the copper 14 gauge wire and the yellow bronze wire. Love this product

WARNING: This is BARE copper wire, which means to the uninitiated that it will patina in a short amount of time. The patina (oxidation) turns this wire into a gorgeous brown color--one of two reasons I recommend--but beware! The weathering, or patina, can irritate your skin and cause contact dermatitis, a nasty red blotching and dotting that itches and spreads. Hydrocortisone will clear it up, and you can just use clear nail polish to cover up the part which touches your skin the most. The other reason I recommend this wire? Sturdy as hell. Not as sturdy as, oh say, 12 or 14 gauge copper, but this is also half-hard, which makes this my go-to wire for when I need wire sturdy enough to make hair pins, hoop earrings, etc. and other jewelry which requires stiff but malleaby wire. The company's 18 gauge half hard is also a great buy. For silver plated copper wire at 16 or 18 gauge, I recommend German style silver plated wire. There's less of the German wire and more expensive, but it's a sturdy alternative to bare copper, or if you prefer silver color.Did I mention that the package came in faster than expected?

This is just what I needed to wire wrap stone pendants. I recently tried my hand at wire wrapping to find I was quickly addicted to it! I had a starter pack of various wire gauges but the 20 gauge dead soft is the main one you use and I quickly ran out. I bought this roll to replace what I had used up and it works perfectly! You can buy massive amounts on Rio Grande for like $40 but I choose to buy small amounts at this time. A great product that I will repurchase.

I ordered this wire specifically because it was supposed to be bare copper wire but it is not so when I used liver of sulfur to patina my wire wrapped piece, it did not patina any of this part of the wire but did on the other wires I had in this piece. Therefore my piece did not look like it was supposed to. Incredibly disappointing. Wire quality itself is great though.
