This simple soldering iron kit has saved me probably hundreds of dollars in repair and replacement costs since I bought it over two years ago. I'm no expert at soldering, but with a little DIY mindset and this soldering iron kit, I have been able to repair several instrument and microphone cables that have stopped working due to wear and tear, thus lengthening their lifespans and avoiding the cost of replacing cables. I have used the kit to install bass guitar pickups and repair pickup connections, thus avoiding service costs. I have even used the kit to reconnect severed wires in strings of holiday lights. The soldering tip heats up quickly, and it works as it should. The accessories have come in handy as well. Highly recommended!

I recently purchased the Soldering Iron Kit, and overall, I am quite satisfied with its performance and the value it offers. This kit provides the essential tools needed for soldering projects and proves to be a reliable companion for both beginners and experienced enthusiasts. The 60W adjustable temperature soldering iron included in the kit performs admirably. It heats up quickly and maintains a consistent temperature throughout the soldering process. The adjustable temperature feature is particularly useful, allowing me to customize the heat level based on the specific requirements of different soldering tasks. The iron's ergonomic design ensures a comfortable grip, minimizing fatigue during extended soldering sessions. The kit also includes a spool of solder wire, which is of decent quality. The solder wire melts smoothly and creates strong, reliable connections. However, I would have appreciated a bit more information about the composition and quality of the solder wire included, as this can affect the overall soldering results. The soldering stand provided in the kit is practical and serves its purpose well. It holds the soldering iron securely, preventing accidental burns or damage to the work surface. The stand's stable base ensures that the iron remains in place when not in use, adding an extra layer of safety. One aspect that could be improved is the quality of the soldering iron's power cord. While it is functional, it feels slightly flimsy and could benefit from being more durable. A sturdier power cord would enhance the overall longevity and reliability of the soldering iron kit.Additionally, the inclusion of additional accessories, such as soldering flux or different soldering tips, would have been a welcome addition to the kit. These extra components can provide added versatility and expand the range of soldering projects that can be undertaken.Despite these minor drawbacks, the Soldering Iron Kit offers excellent value for its price. It provides the essential tools needed for soldering projects, and the adjustable temperature soldering iron performs reliably. The kit's affordability makes it an attractive option for hobbyists, DIY enthusiasts, and those looking to tackle simple soldering tasks. In conclusion, the Soldering Iron Kit is a reliable and versatile toolset that fulfills its purpose. With its adjustable temperature soldering iron, solder wire, and soldering stand, it equips users with the necessary tools to complete a range of soldering projects. While improvements could be made to the power cord and the inclusion of additional accessories, the kit's performance and affordability make it a worthwhile investment for soldering enthusiasts. I would recommend the Soldering Iron Kit to anyone in need of a reliable and budget-friendly soldering solution.

Just received the kit, and it looks quite right for what it is. However, my low rating is because some parts were missing. The kit didn't have the solder wire, the little wrench to assemble the soldering iron's base, the solder paste and, critically, the soldering iron's tips (the main reason I purchased the set). Also, the pencil-like screwdriver seems to be stuck: I can't unscrew it to fix the tips on it. The soldering iron looks okay, unfortunately I can't test it yet without wire. The other parts were in the set, but I was disappointed it was incomplete with two critical parts - solder wire and tips. Surely I can improve my review experience once I'm able to properly test this kit, of course, but so far I'm stuck.Update - 2020-05-20: The Plusivo team was very kind enough to offer me either a refund or a replacement for the missing elements in the kit. I chose the refund, since I can use it to purchase the solder wire and the tips and be able to test the solder iron and desolder pump (they look fine, but I need to actually test it in real work conditions). Therefore, I upgraded my review to three stars in recognition of the great customer support received. Will do a new review once I can actually test the tools - I already ordered the parts I need.Update - 2020-05-27: Finally with solder wire and tips at hand, I proceeded to actually test the equipment. I focused primarily on the soldering iron. The iron worked as expected; after tinning the tips, they were quick in heating and melting the solder wire into the joints. It's very important to tin the tips first (not just for this iron, but for every soldering iron) to maximize the heat transfer and minimize rust. The soldering plastic handle does have a red LED that shows when the iron is on; the more dim, the more "cold", and vice versa for the higher temperatures. The temp dial is somewhat small to see and operate, and it does require a higher-than-expected temperature (350 C) for a quick solder melting, but that's due to the wire I got. I'd have liked an on-off switch in the solder iron cable instead of just plugging/unplugging, and also to have the red LED on the outside of the handle instead of in the inside. Other than that, everything looks and performs as expected and more, despite the low price. For a hobbyist, this kit delivers.
