A little smaller than I was expecting (my fault, not sellers) but works great to light up on timer in an 4 ft x 8 ft chicken coop. We use on the dimmest setting and it is plenty of light. Just ordered a second for duck run.

New review: Customer service fixed the problem! After my previous review, the company reached out to me and offered to send me a replacement (since I couldn't return the unit). It turns out there was something wrong with the first remote; with the new remote, both units work! I really appreciate the care the customer service team gave and the lights are now working well! I'm using them to light a balcony laundry area that has not lights of its own (and no outdoor electrical outlets).Previous review:I bought this to light my laundry area outside (the washer and dryer are on the porch). It didn't work for the first few days I had it. I assumed it was a battery issue with the remote. It took me a while to get new batteries since I've been in and out of town a lot. I should have done it more quickly so I could return it (that was my mistake). Unit does not work. Make sure you test it out right away in case you get a defective unit.

I'm using this in my coop and it's working well. I have a couple of lower pecking order hens that eat last, then go up and down the ramp a few times until they finally get settled - so this gives them a little extra time to eat and get situated before the light goes off 1 hour after dark.Less one star because it doesn't seem to be adjustable for cool vs. warm light as shown in the description. If I get that to work. Also, ideally I could simply turn it on on a dreary day; but it only seems to work if it is totally dark.

As everyone is aware, electric prices have more than doubled over the last few years. Because of that, we got the idea to throw solar lights around the house. We bought 3 different brands and styles to start. We made sure all of them came with cords long enough to reach a window. These lights have been up and in use in the dining room and living room for over a week at this point. We haven't done anything permanent. The cords literally have windows closed on them. They work well enough that we keep catching ourselves trying to turn off light switches.A different brand, purchased here on Amazon, is brighter than these but they don't last nearly as long. These lights have consistently stayed lit for 10 hours each night. The one above our dining room table is easily bight enough to read. These are not 60 watt bulbs but we didn't expect them to be that bright. The best we can compare them to is a Colman camping lantern as far as how bright they light up a room.So far we have 4. If we can figure out a way to get another one into our bathroom with no window, we will be getting another one.

First I laughed at the size, it’s so small, but that’s my bad for assuming it’s the way it’s portrayed in the photos. I didn’t check measurements. But whatever I didn’t really care as long as it worked great.I knew something wasn’t right when I turned it on. It wouldn’t stay on, it just kept flicking on then off as soon as I used the on button on the remote. I thought maybe it needs to be dark for it to work tho it said it didn’t have to be…. I covered the solar panel, nada. Repeated some steps and finally it came on when I covered the panel. Well I figured that must be the case let’s let it charge longer. Charged two days. Remembered I wanted to mess with the remote today so I tested everything, seemed great. Changed it to AUTO and tested it would turn on when dark. Great!Went out at dark to make sure it was on and it was hardly bright… it was on but couldn’t even shine any light down. It’s dead already!!! Didn’t last 2 hours if you even want to count the last hour of that since it wasn’t bright! I’m returning…
