We tried this device near the entrance to our barn. We had just lost our dog and needed something while we looked for a new one. The coyotes go into the barn and killed 2 of our sheep a day later. We followed the instructions to the letter, but this device did not work for us.

We bought these a while ago to put around our chicken coop to help keep predators away. They work great! They still work great from the first day I bought them. Very durable. Water proof. We will end up buying more to help cover the other half of our chicken coop area.

We ordered this product as we were at wit's end with a raccoon entering our property (over a fence) and it was tearing up the lawn digging 3-4 inch holes. I am assuming it is looking for bugs and worms. So far they have kept the raccoon out, but racoons are very smart critters and am wondering if over the next month it will figure out they are not really predetors and I will have to Have A Heart the raccoon and relocate to the next town....I cannot completely rate this product as we have only used it for 3 nights. Maybe down the road, but waiting for colder weather which will freeze the ground. It has been a week now they are working great go all night and no sign of the pesky raccon. We followed the directions and put all the lights at 12" for a raccoon. I also have them on stakes and move them around so they are not in the same exact place nightly. For the money it was worth it to stop the tearing of the lawn!

Doesn't work, the coyotes still come up to my fence and try to get my dogs. I tried changing the positions of the lights and it doesn't deter a thing. I always go outside with my dogs but even with me standing right next to my dogs and these things flashing, the coyotes will still come charging. As a note I live in a neighborhood with a green belt.

Liked the product as a thing, but got them to run off raccoons.It did not run off the raccoons. It may have acted as a “no vacancy” sign and I got more raccoons.More about raccoons being raccoons than the product not functioning as advertised.

I have used these repellers for the last 2 months to keep raccoons out of my back yard, which were uprooting portions of the sod. I have found little to no uprooting since I installed the repellers. As a check, I took them inside on a few rainy nights to see if the raccoons would return. They did after a night or two without the repellers.My back yard has considerable shade throughout the day, so I was concerned about maintaining battery efficiency with considerably less than the recommended 8 hours of sunlight. I have found that if I move the repellers to an area that gets about 5 hours of sunshine, that is enough to keep the AA batteries functioning. The repellers still function even if there are a couple of cloudy days in succession. I also appreciate their use of standard rechargeable AA batteries, which can be recharged in a common battery charger if necessary.

So far appears to work well, we'll know better after foliage dies down, deer get hungry.
