Softube Console 1 has a unique and intuitive workflow, with the best features of both hardware and software mixing. With fewer practical distractions, you can focus on the music, not the technology.

Console 1 – One Knob per Job

One Knob per Job

One control per parameter, and no MIDI mapping required. Console 1 works with any major DAW on the market straight out of the box, and offers extra deep integration with select DAWs.

Console 1 - A modern mixing system

A modern mixing system

The Softube Console 1 mixing ecosystem is so much more than a simple DAW/plug-in controller. It’s an efficient, elegant, and amazing-sounding modern mixing solution, combining hardware and software to give you the best of both worlds: the versatility, affordability, and usability of in-the-box mixing, alongside the workflow, feel, and focus dedicated hardware can bring.

Console 1 can be used alone, or in combination with Console 1 Fader for a tight ‘complete desk’ experience. You can even use multiple Console 1 Fader units to build the ideal workflow for your specific studio.

Console 1 works with all major DAWs

Console 1 works with all major DAWs

With no need for MIDI mapping or assigning, Console 1 works straight out of the box. Studio One, Cubase, Cakewalk/Sonar, Reaper, Logic Pro X, Ableton Live, Pro Tools, and more – any host that can run a VST, AU, or AAX plug-in can work with Console 1. Some hosts offer deeper compatibility, allowing control of the DAW itself from Console 1's hardware. Select tracks and control their pan, volume, sends and more directly from the hardware. Ableton Live, Presonus Studio One, Steinberg Cubase, Cakewalk by BandLab/Sonar, and Cockos Reaper are among these, with more being added regularly.

70+ Softube & UAD plug-ins are Console 1 Ready

Design the ideal desk for any mix, all controllable from the same purpose-built hardware, without mapping. If you own gates, compressors, or equalizers from Softube or Universal Audio, you're already building a collection of amazing options for your Console 1 mixes.

There are more than 70 'Console 1 Ready' plug-ins. Emulations of classic hardware from Chandler Limited, Fairchild, Teletronix, Tube-Tech, Abbey Road Studios, and many others can be substituted for the relevant section of your Console 1 channel strip to create bespoke processing chains on individual tracks, groups, or across the whole mix.

Amazon sends me a B-stock product which is already registered and therefore not functioning without acquiring a new license at Softube and all the hassle that comes with this. Also no original USB cable and packaging. A disgrace. Never again I'm buying at Amazon

Trust worthy and great value. It seemed to be an open box item. It came on the original box,and looks as a new unit.It also came with the corresponding license for the ssl400 plugin.Buy it here, forget ebay or reverb.

I was very excited to try this, but unfortunately when it arrived, there was a small part inside the unit rattling around. After installing all the required software, nothing seemed to work. It’s a pain to return something, wait 3-5 business days for a refund, then reorder the same product hoping maybe that one will work.. Not sure I will order it again after having to re-ship the unit and getting my refund.

This has been one of the most valuable additions to my production workflow. The new integration with ableton via VST3 works perfectly to control DAW volume, panning, and sends. The hardware build quality is also top notch with a metal frame and the encoder knobs all have the exact same turn resistance feel which is something audio products even at higher price points seem to struggle with. Finally the actual mix software sounds excellent and has an easy to understand UI. I especially like the ability to mix and match components from different channel strips for different use cases. The only negative about this product is that I have been so impressed by it that I am now tempted to buy the faders to go with it!

So far this little unit has proven to be the missing link for me. I have just recently gotten back into recording music and making the adjustment from doing everything with knobs and faders to doing everything "in the box" has been hard to get used to. I love the freedom and ease that comes with recording on a laptop but the old school guy in me desperately needs to turn a knob here and there. This unit scratches that itch for me while also providing some really great sound capabilities. With the different software/console options that you can get from Softube, having the console 1 is kind of like having a console modeler in the studio. So instead of being tied to one huge clunky mixing console that always sounds the same, now I can switch between consoles on different projects and even mix and match features of the different consoles on the same project. Very versatile and easy to use.

It's only been three days since using it and I use it a lot for in the box mixing and sound design.1. The sound of the 4000E emulation has character. You can make things sound aggressive (like your drum buss) or you can gently glue things together like a classic rock record. I mostly use samplers, synths, and drum machines and I am able to work with the vintage rock tones. You can always use the transient designer and EQ E242 emulation to tone things down while still giving your sound that analog tone. The four hours I spent with this channel strip I used it on many of my Ensoniq EPS loops and battery 4 sounds to build new kits out of my samples. Even if you had a sample at 44.1 16-bit with a couple of knob turns with input gainstaging, compressor ratio, and the character knob you get drums that will smack across your mix.2. I like how I am able to already remember with tactile memory on which knobs I should be turning when I want to make sonic adjustments to each track/channel. I'm four hours in on use and that's not bad. I do recommend mixing with a well lit room just to stay alert on what you're doing when you're starting out.3. I got to demo the British Class A and the 9000K desks too. Both sound amazing. The 9000K sounds just like my SSL X Desk summing mixer because it uses the similar Xlogic Superanalogue board. There's a lot to explore with the 4000E compressor and EQ's so I will hold off on buying the expansions for now. I think with the free plugins from Tokyo Dawn Labs and the 4000E engine is all I need to finish my work.
