I have been using this product for almost 3 years for soap making. I love the actual product itself. However, over the past year the lids have been increasingly hard to get off. When fighting to get the lid off lye gets everywhere. One was so hard to get off that when it finally did pop off half of the container spilled. I love the product but the lids are such a pain I will be looking for something else.

I love the flakes! No more little beads bouncing around. It has very little to no “ lye lint”. And works as it should. I’m a soap maker and I love that it’s food grade. I feel very comfortable recommending this product.

I could not remove the cap, it’s extremely difficult. I had to try and cut through the bottom and try to get the product out, so the packaging was extremely sturdy. So I don’t know if it works

Dissolves nicely in distilled water and works great for etching aluminum parts before anodizing. Use plenty of distilled water to wash between baths to avoid cross contamination.

Made pretzels and the water bath worked great. Lye is in flakes and dissolved easily in water.

Use it to make an electrolyte solution for a water torch. Does what it's supposed to do.

I used my bottle to remove an aluminum seatpost from a steel bike frame. Worked like a charm.Keep some vinegar handy to rinse hands and create paper towel wipes with.
