I bought this for two kids and they both love using it. The strap can be adjusted so that the distance the ball travels on each kick is predetermined. You can have the ball travel a very short distance before recoiling, or a larger distance depending on the adjustment.

This is great for keeping a ball at hand during solo soccer practice. My 9yr old granddaughter enjoyed walking to the park with the ball attached and no chance of it rolling in the street.

My sons are 9 and 6, average height, and the string is a bit too long for them. It works great for an adult, but it was purchased as a gift for the kids.
