I have an old snowbaord that I don't want to part with and don't want to just keep it in storage. I found these fun hooks so I can hang it on the wall. I like that they include the hardware to hand teh board, all you need to install is a screw driver.

Considering this is just molded plastic, some additional expense on good anchors and better screws would make all the difference. That’s where I’ll start.After drilling holes to mount the anchors and attempting to attach this mount to the wall with the supplied screws, I realized the screws weren’t grabbing any tread in the anchors. Problem 1.Standard Sheetrock is 1/2 thick (common size in US) vs these anchors that are built for 3/4 to 1” thick walls. Due to this, they were sliding out of the holes and the tabs that should hold them against the Sheetrock on the back side of the wall snapped immediately. Problem 2.Thankfully I had better anchors that fit the provided screws (the grey one in the image) vs the junk provided (yellow mounts in the image). Mount installed.If you’re planning to mount them directly to studs and this isn’t an issue for you, just know you’re going to need to pre-drill some pilot holes and keep your fingers crossed that these screws don’t strip out, because they are cheap. If you plan to use your own screws and your own anchors, then don’t worry.It holds a snowboard after throwing out the provided hardware, and I do like that it also has hooks, which I hung my helmet from one of them.I’m giving this three stars because I like the mounts themselves, they are functional, and multi-purpose, but for what it costs and the crappy hardware and instructions, I’m docking 2 stars.
