I have and older TJ (2000 model), and over the years the entry way has become worn from feet bumping as you get in and out. I thought that these entry guards would be just the thing. They would cover the existing worn area and prevent further wear at same time. I was very disappointed at the very poor fit. The concept is simple, bend a thin sheet of stainless steel to match the sheet metal of the body, and attach it with double sided foam tape. The Stainless doesn't even cover the inside portion of the entryway. You can still see that part of the worn area. There are gaps all around the edges of the entire guard. Lesson learned. I most likely will choose another brand name when I buy things for my Jeep. If this Smittybuilt is an example of their overall quality, you can do better than Smittybuilt.
