A Smittybilt air compressor is the most powerful compression unit in its class. It has a 1/3 horsepower oil less direct drive motor and a 30 amp inline fuse.

The first one we got had a crimped hose, but Amazon quickly and easily replaced the item. The pump works great. Inflates from 20 PSI to 37 PSI fairly quickly compared to what others are using. But it gets HOT. When we are done inflating we don't put it back in the bag immediately. Also the bag that it comes with is a very thin, light weight. We ended up getting a different bag that holds the pump and a few other items so it is all in one place.Overall I am very happy with this pump and have even used it to inflate giant pool toys and my bike tires.

I used to go to the gas station to fill up my tires with air. This air compressor is stronger/faster than those and I finish faster. I would recommend getting some accessories so you do not need to screw in the hose every time (saving a few minutes). The only drawbacks are that it is a little heavy and loud. This can't be helped since it is so powerful.

I keep this in my truck at all times. There are times I need to air down and it's great to have on hand when I'm back on dry pavement. I run 70 psi in my tires on the regular and this thing does that with no issue. It does get hot while it's working so just keep that in mind. It works relatively fast. It has a long power cord and a long air hose. I can attach it to the battery terminal in my truck and fill the back tires with no problem. It's a little pricey but I like having it in the truck!

El producto está buenísimo, aunque la manguera de inflado se ve de baja calidad. El tiempo de inflado por llanta es de no más de 2 minutos, muy buena opción

Nice compressor, I was going to get an arb twin but could not afford it at this time, so I got this for now. I have 34" tires and it airs them up pretty fast. The battery clips are a bit small but will clip on the battery bolts and work just fine. It dose get pretty warm but cools off quick. The pressuer gauge is not that acuret but i compaird it to another tire gauge and just remeber where i need it to be. I would definitely recommend this compressor for the price build quality and speed.

This is a great little compressor. I bought it primarily to inflate 31” Jeep tires after airing down, which is an easy task for it. Most decent 12V compressors would have no issues bringing 31s from the low teens up to 30 PSI and this one does it quickly and easily, and at a great price point. However, the really impressive thing about this compressor is how it handles higher pressure tires. I run 33” tires (285/75/R16) on my 3/4 ton HD pickup and like to “air down” to the 25-30 PSI range on occasion. This compressor is able to quickly bring the pressure in those tires up to 50-60 PSI. I haven’t timed it, but it’s quick enough.Overall this compressor is a great buy. My only compliant, like others, is the proprietary air fittings. I would prefer to use a standard air chuck at times, but the included inflator/gauge works well enough that I haven’t attempted to modify the Smittybilt fittings. The gauge isn’t very accurate while filling the tires (typical of inline pressure gauges while inflating), but it will get you close enough if you remember the offset (usually reads about 5 PSI high while inflating for me). I bring a separate tire pressure to verify.

Heavy but well made and performs greatFills up my 33s from 10psi in less that 2 min to 35psiWhat I don't like is how when it's inflating the pressure gauge reads higher than what you actually have in the tire, so you have to turn off the pump and check...roughly reads 5 psi higher when running than actual pressure

tl;dr: Good compressor with nonstandard fittings, adequate accessories.I have been using this compressor to air up my Jeep's tires for two weeks. It does a fine job of pumping air into the tires, although after running for a while the hose gets very hot (too hot to hold for even half a second, not hot enough to cause instant burns when touching for a moment). The heat is acceptable, although it means I can't put the compressor away in the supplied carrying bag right away.I'm using an octopus rig with an attached pressure gauge to air up all four tires at once. I haven't yet timed how long it takes to air up my 31" tires, but it doesn't feel long at all. I like the octopus, and I like the pump, but the disappointing quirk is that the compressor has unusual fittings and won't fit any of the available air line connectors. To use my octopus rig, I had to cut off the Smittybilt connectors and install ones that fit the rest of my gear (1/4" industrial/Milton). I wouldn't have minded if they'd used automotive connectors, but the Smittybilt ones are not compatible with anything I could find in the local stores here in Southern California. The accessories are decent, but nothing special. The carrying bag fits everything easily, and can even carry a little extra (spare Schrader valves, hose repair tape, etc.), but is made of fairly thin fabric that doesn't look like it will stand up to hard use. The carrying handles are sewn on to the sides instead of wrapping around beneath, and the interior pocket collapses so readily that it's almost as if it isn't there. The coiled hose, with the odd Smittybilt connectors, is fine but too narrow and restricts the air flow a little. The air chuck and pressure gauge is probably good enough for occasional use. I plan to rely on the octopus, but I'm happy to carry the Smittybilt chuck/gauge as a spare.I can't really rate the longevity of this compressor after only two weeks of use, and plan to update this review once I've used the compressor for a while.

After hearing lots of reviews on these guys, I decided to pick one up for my Jeep so I wouldn't have to rely on other people's On-Board Air systems to air me back up after the trails. The size of this thing will blow you away when you first see it, they're massive. Not necessarily a bad thing, but if you're tight for space, keep that in mind. This thing is fast, and surprisingly quiet. One thing is for sure, keep your engine running while using this compressor. It draws up to 45amps according to the tag on the compressor, and it will pump faster with the engine running anyways. I have 37x12.5x17's on my Jeep, and I air down to 9psi for the trails. On the streets I typically run anywhere from 20-25psi, and this little guy will fill all four tires up in less than 8 minutes.Pros: Very fast, not ridiculously loud, about a dozen uses so far without incident.Cons: I dislike the coiled air hose and proprietary air fittings this uses. The output of the compressor is threaded for a metric air fitting, I would have liked to make a new hose from the compressor's output to adapt to standard quick connects, but the metric fitting is very hard to find, so I spliced a quick-connect onto the factory hose (bye bye warranty). It also runs very hot, not really a huge con, but it takes a minute to cool down before you can store it.Please note: The photos show the air hose after I have modified it for standard air quick-connect fittings, to be able to attach a standard air hose and attachments. This is not how the compressor arrives.
