I own the vinyl top and this mesh top. I prefer the mesh top. It lets just the right amount of sunlight and air into your interior. Added bonus are the cut out provisions that allow you to use the stock front grab bars.

I should have expected "mesh" to not be waterproof but the description says, Protects from the elements. I consider rain to be a weather "element".

Great top easy install. Make sure to remember your also need to order the front channel for this to work.

We love this top so much. It's great for Jeep life in the summer time! Make sure you purchase the windshield channel bar if you have a hard top Jeep.

Out of the box, it's a great product. But I've had it for a few weeks now and the strap already broke and the back strap kind of tore when I was installing it. Other than that, it provides great shade and keeps the sun from burning up your interior.

I returned this because its snaps failed to connect to those on the windshield header (which is required for this item).
