I honestly was happy was the results at first but had to stop using these whitening pens. My teeth was so sensitive after a few treatments that it was hard to chew or tolerate changes in temperatures. This one is a pass for me.

I ordered Smilesaver Peroxide-Free Teeth Whitening Pens with a couple of questions:1) How is this stuff supposed to stay on my teeth?2) Why would a product containing sodium percarbonate (aka "sodium carbonate hydrogen peroxide") be positioned as "Peroxide-Free"?Now that I've gotten them and reviewed the small amount of info they came with, I have the same 2 questions. The brief instructions don't say anything about using a tray or letting it dry on your teeth, so, it seems like you'd pretty much just be eating the stuff. Maybe there's something of an answer to the "peroxide-free" claim. The instruction card says it only contains 0.33% Sodium Percarbonate, which is just under 1/3rd hydrogen peroxide by weight, so, it would therefore only contain 0.1% hydrogen peroxide, which might be considered negligible. Compare that to the 19% sodium percarbonate in Crest Night Effects, which would yield close to 6% hydrogen peroxide (a common figure for teeth whiteners).I'll probably try to fill in the blanks a bit by seeing if I can let it dry on my teeth, or trying a tray. But I have low expectations, given the seeming absence of active ingredient.

I am an avid red wine drinker and am always looking for a product that can help brighten my teeth. This seems to do a pretty good job of giving them a little extra boost of whitening after brushing. I wouldn't say it has made my teeth any whiter, however, the product does seem to be a good additional tool for general upkeep.

I already have pre-white teeth, so I use whitening products more preventativinly than as treatment. It’s hard to tell how well these are working for this reason, but I did look up the active ingredient in this (sodium precarbonate) and it does look like there is some evidence for its effectiveness. It looks shimmery when you put it on your teeth. It’s sweet to the taste. It says to leave it on for 30 to 45 minutes and then rinse your mouth out with water. By the time 30 minutes were hit the product wasn’t visible on my teeth at all anymore so I think it all just kind of went away with me not keeping my mouth open for the entire 30 minutes. Hopefully it will still do what it is supposed to do.

Like most dental products, this takes time to work. The whitening pens are easy enough to use, and they are small enough to fit into travel pouches, a purse, or briefcase.I haven't had any reactions to the ingredients and they don't bother my gums or taste nasty. The biggest problem is drool. OK, saliva. I put the gel on and within five minutes I feel like I've lost most of it to saliva. The instructions say to apply the gel and leave it on for 20 minutes, but it doesn't seem to last that long for me. I don't want to swallow it (I don't think it would be harmful, but meh), so I spit out what's left and reapply it. For me that means the pens won't last as long.It's hard to say if I have results yet. This certainly isn't professional-level whitening that a dentist can do, but it's also a LOT more affordable. Just be willing to spend the time doing this on a routine basis, just like brushing or flossing.I took a "before" photo (not included here) and I'll take another once I'm through all three tubes to see if I got results. Ideally this is done daily, I guess, but I do tend to be hit or miss. One application, or two, isn't enough to remove existing stains.

This gel pen is easy to use, but it's hard to tell the results. I have yellowing on the tops of my upper and bottoms of my lower teeth, so I put the gel on those sections. Honestly it did not show me a noticeable difference but maybe a slight temporary brightening.Once you put this gel on, it doesn't really stay on the teeth because through breathing and the movement of saliva inside the mouth, it just washes off.

This Smilesaver Peroxide-Free Teeth Whitening Pen makes it easy to apply. Just dry teeth, turn the bottom until gel appears on brush, and brush it on. It has a pleasant taste. It does not irritate my teeth at all. As for whitening, I still have some product to use, thus far I can't tell if my teeth are whiter or not.

I cannot review yet in terms of efficacy just yet, I have a few stains from a food colorant in vegan patties that I ate over a long period of time. Even after a teeth cleaning at the dentist I still have stains in the crevices between the teeth. I have yet to see if this pen will rid of the stains or whiten the teeth overall. So far I have only used it about six times.What I can review so far, however, is that the taste is pleasant and that there is no discomfort while using this formula. Some other formulas can cause a certain level of discomfort. I will update my review as far as whitening goes, after I finish the entire pen.
