It seems that file folders are getting so cheap and thin. I bought both with 2 clips and 4 clips which makes them perfect for separating how correspondence, brochures etc. are filed.

The prongs are GREAT- they’re wrapped so you don’t get metal cuts. Color is nice too. Issue is the sturdiness - the edges on the tab have already started to fray (split layers?) a bit. I bring my file folders around for work a lot, so I’m sure they’d last better living in a file drawer, but make sure the drawer will close! The tabs make the folders pretty tall.

These sturdy folders are great. So much better than the flimsy manilla folders I've used all my life. These hold papers without sliding down in drawers and are easier to contain items if you need to carry them around.

I've been using these types of clasp folders forever. The pressboard cover is much tougher than regular manilla stock, so they are excellent for paperwork that must be referenced on a regular basis AND needs to be protected in one spot with occasional sheets added. In the past I always picked these up at Office Depot. Well, the OfficeMaxDepotStaples monopoly -- now having annihilated most large independent stationers -- have decided no one really needs these covers. So they have unceremoniously dumped them from their store shelves (leastways here in the Pacific Northwest). Even when they had them, they charged $50 for a box of 25, just too much for what they are. I'm glad you can still get them via Amazon, and for less money to boot.

I am a Realtor, and I use these for my client folders. Regular file folders can't stand up to my handling, and I need the expansion. The fasteners on these are slightly different from what I am used to. They aren't attached through the folder. Rather they seem to be only attached from inside of the folder. Not sure how. Glue? They look well-attached. Hmmm. Only time will tell if this is an effective way to attach the fasteners. I'll check back after some use.
