I've had this SmartKat cat scratcher before, and my kitties have always loved them. When I read the measurements for this one, I didn't believe them. And upon receiving it today and measuring, I was right. Both the width and length are at least one to two inches smaller than advertised. And that is measuring at the top outside edges, where the numbers would be the largest. Just a FYI. I still feel that this is one of the best available. It's quite sturdy, so lasts a while (don't bother with the cheap scratchers), plus it doesn't tip over. My Logan is a pretty big Maine Coon mix and he's a real beast when it comes to his cardboard scratchers! This one is a winner. Someone does need to edit those measurements though.

Both my cats love scratching in these boxes. They also spend time just lounging around in them. My big guy (close to 14 lbs.) has no trouble fitting in them. He falls asleep in them, too. I put one outside on the front porch under a chair, and he spent a good portion of the summer chilling in his box. The price for the 3 pack is reasonable, too. I will definitely keep buying these.

These scratchers are popular with my cats, we'll need to purchase 2-3 moreUpdate: it now a favorite nap space and scratcher for ALL cats. This one was a bought as a temporary, because it was on sale at a store, until we could buy a few more carpet/sisal scratchers for the multiple cats we took in & prevent shelter drop off. It wasn't restocked at the store or locally. So, I'm relieved I could find replacements on Amazon after a cat got sick on the ONLY one we had. Corrugated box scratchers are not a choice purchase for that reason. It's ruined by vomiting/hairballs. Flat/floor scratchers not widely accepted by my cats, outside of the inserts found in track ball toy. This size and shape attracts every cat in the house. It is a preferred nap space. It's the ONLY scratcher one of the cats will use.We surged from a 2 cat household to a multi cat house overnight. So, our furniture paid the price in spite of having a sisal scratcher in every room or available on cat tree!Time will tell, but we just might feel safe to buy new furniture.

My kitties have loved them since the very first one I bought! In fact, all the kitties I've ever given one to simply loved it! These are thicker and sturdier than others on the market. They are long enough for kitties to be able to actually stand on in the box and scratch comfortably. Shorter ones make it difficult for the cats to fit in the box and get a good scratch on. I don't like the price. They are the most expensive, but they are 'worth' it. I've got multiple cats and they 'rip them to shreds', so it pays to get a good quality scratcher when you have several cats. They last longer.

This is probably the third time I’ve purchased this item. My cat loves it for scratching and lounging/sleeping. It seems to hold up a lot longer than others I’ve purchased.

Great for scratching, lounging, and napping. It’s holding up very well, but if it wears down in the future, I will buy it again.

**UPDATE** It has now been 4 1/2 going on almost 5 months since I purchased this and it's still in decent shape! Yeah she did decide to bite the flap in the front and turned it into a foot rest lol. Smart Kitty! I'm definitely purchasing another one! I'd say her current lounger will last another month or so and for a Cardboard Scratcher to last 6+ months for a reasonable price is worth it!Item came Shipped with no Damage whatsoever. You really don't have any setting up to do, you just remove the plastic wrap and the Outer Product Information Flaps. I put it down in front of the fireplace and Marilla immediately jumped from the Recliner to this Cat Scratch Lounger and it didn't tip over or anything! It's very durable and the actual scratch part that is inside of this cardboard is glued in very very well. Marilla likes to chew cardboard and she has only managed to rip the corners of the outer cardboard and even doing that, nothing has lifted and it's still in perfectly good shape. I think it will last quite some time and in regards of it tipping, the only time I've noticed it will tip is if she puts all of her weight on one edge, then it will tip, but that's barely ever. I would highly suggest this but it's not my opinion that matters, it's Marilla's! She enjoys it, she loves just laying down in it and sleeping in it! It's a perfect fit with a little extra room and even though she's a rather smaller cat, I think all cats would love this! I like the fact that rather than it coming with a bag of catnip to pour on top of it, it actually has catnip infused within the cardboard! Now did I notice if she acted zany after scratching it? Not really, but then there are other times she acts a little ballistic and I'm wondering if she got a little sniff of catnip while scratching. I think it's great, and this is all off my first impressions. Depending on how long it lasts will be whether I'll purchase it again, but I have a feeling that if it lasts even for 3 to 6 months, it's definitely worth it. You do have to take into consideration that this is NOT a reversible cat scratcher, but you do get the benefit of it being a lounger and I feel if you have other cat scratchers within your home that this one won't be used as much anyway so it's a perfect addition!
