I have no idea how we lived workout this for so many years. I think of all the sweaters I donated that still had great potential of only I had purchased this unit years ago. Oh you will love it. I highly recommend this because it's so gentle on clothes and makes ugly sweaters look like new again. Wow.

So far I'm okay with this fabric shaver. While I am glad to make my clothes look less trashy, it's loud and scares the cat. That's kind of an issue because he freaked when I set it down near him when I was adjusting a top to get at the other side.. Several bandaids and gauze and peroxide and an application of neosporin later...i tried using the shaver again. I would say that it's effective but i had hoped it was going to be slightly more magical, i.e. really quick. You have to be somewhat slow and methodical--but it will definitely collect a lot of pills in the clear bin. The really stubborn pills on a fleece pullover took more effort than a pilled-up hat did. Ultimately I was happy to see my clothes look refreshed. It's much bigger than the battery operated ones I've seen at WalMart. The advantage of the larger size is the larger collection bin. I had a battery operated shaver that was small and easy to use, but I had to stop every minute and empty it. I downgraded the stars due to the noise which seemed to affect the cat more than my vacuum cleaner. The other reason is the feeling of the shaver being not as zippy to shave the fabric as I expected for it's large size. I have only used it with the power cord, so I can't tell you how long it worked on the battery power.

This devices does what it promises. I've used this on a variety of garments, both thick and thin knits. In all cases, it removes snags and piles really well.It does take patience; it works best if one passes slowly over the fabric. Quick "back-and-forth" motion is essentially ineffective. Don't try to defuzz that sweater at the last minute when you're in a hurry to put it on and get out the door - best to do this when you can take your time.Great that it can be used corded or with batteries. I've only had it a couple of weeks, so I can't speak to the long-term durability yet. It gets only 4 stars because you can't buy replacement blades (at least I haven't been able to find any anywhere). At some point, the blades will dull and I'll have to buy a new shaver instead on instead of simply refurbishing an otherwise still-viable product with new blades.

For those of you who has a spouse who loves to help around the house but doesn't see the harm in combining towels and sweaters in the laundry .....this is a great device.It works great, a little time consuming on the larger projects (fuzzy bed sheets) but I love the fact that I have the option of using batteries or plugging this baby into an outlet, saving me money on batteries.I would recommend it for the small jobs and big jobs...I would be lost without it!

This clothes shaver made fast work of making all my sweaters and blankets look new again; what a great way to save money by not having to replace items. The manufacturer was super to talk to when I called them with a question regarding the unit. I am very pleased.

I got an coat that cost me $250 and it got white balls all over it from the wash. I tryed the roller did not get them off i started picking them off and that was taking for ever. It was next to new and i was so mad. I just hung it up and bought a new coat and thought nothing of it. I came on here and saw this lucky for me i was drunk because i read what people said about it that seemed to never have tryed it tho they got me thinking this things a scam.I was drunk and fig whats 20 bucks if it can save my coat that i liked alot worth a try. Well i got it today and tryed it out. I just pluged it in and put it all over them damn white things what where all over my coat and i should add my coat was black so really stuck out. It took maybe 2 min and i got them all off. This thing is awesome now i know ill never have that prob again. I felt the need to come and comment on this because if people see what the people said about it not working when it works wicked awesume from what them people that never tryed it tho say they think its a scam or what not they may not want to buy it. This thing is great if you have hard to get balls or stuff like that little ones i had on it not sure about big ones tho worked for me wicked good.

After reading the other reviews, I was a little worried about this product. I ordered it anyway because it looked solid. I couldn't be more pleased! It is a solid product. It fits nicely in the hand and does a wonderful job.I have a multi-colored sweater that I love but it gets those pills after wearing it for a while. As soon as I recieved it I popped the batteries in and a few minutes later, I had a sweater that looked like new! I had no problems with it removing hard or soft pills, as another reviewer mentioned. It worked equally well with both. I had a little problem installing the batteries but that because I'm a clutz! :-)I like the fact that I can use the adapter or run it on batteries. That makes it very convienient. How many times have you purchased a product that runs on 4 batteries and you only have 3? Not all clothes shavers have this dual power feature. It also has a little brush for cleaning out the blades.I highly recommend it.

I have used this shaver on delicate sweaters to couches and chairs. Does just as great a job on both! The adapter makes things so much easier. Cleaning out the shaver is a breeze. It is a great size - not a little shaver head, so you are not shaving and shaving for an hour to do a small sweater. It was perfect for my couch and chair, and not only did it get the pills off, but also fluffed up the material, making my couch and chair look brand new. If you are looking for a clothes shaver that is easy to use and to clean, has an adapter, is large enough for big tasks, and makes things look brand new, this is the one you are looking for!
