These smart glasses are a great blend of style and functionality. They work for both men and women and offer more than just sun protection. The Bluetooth audio feature allows for easy music listening and phone calls. The built-in open-ear stereo mic and speakers provide clear audio. The glasses also have blue light filter and UV protection polarized lenses for optimal eye health. However, the open-ear design might not be ideal for noisy environments. The glasses are slightly heavier due to the tech features. If you want sunglasses that do more than just shield your eyes from the sun, consider these.

These BLESSOURCE Smart Glasses are decent. They fit well and look good when worn. The Bluetooth connects easily with your phone and you can play music or audio book. The frame temples have some basic touch controls and the music comes out from here as well, which is near your ear. It misses the mark because the sound quality is just okay and the sound is not private. I thought these might have been bone-conducting audio, which is more private than complete open-ear, but I was wrong. I assumed the open-ear could still have been bone-conducting, but it isn’t. Anyone near you can hear what you are listening to, but not loud enough to really know what it is. The audio that I hear at the loudest volume is just okay. It isn’t loud enough to really immerse yourself in the music or audiobook you are listening to, which is a shame. The charging is a magnetic attachment and the battery seems to last pretty long. The nice touch is that these are sweat and IPX4 waterproof. This could have been better with louder audio.

I was pleasantly surprised by these glasses! I ordered the sunglasses style and they actually look fairly OK. The sound quality is similar to the speaker on a phone-watch or similar. Any substantial ambient noise and you won't hear any music even at full blast. Where these would come in really handy would be listening to talk radio, audiobooks, or podcasts while outside watching the kids. Spoken word sounds best on these, if you're looking for audio quality these aren't it. There are some odd design choices but for the price, it's tolerable. Each side of the frame is a seperate BT unit with it's own battery, they aren't connected. This means you turn them on and off, and pair them seperately. The magnetic charger locks in place and they charge fast. I used them on a couple of BT calls and they actually seemed to work pretty good, the sound was tinny but the other person could hear me. I think these would be great for some "fancy tech" for a kid, or if you wanted to use them at the pool or outdoors and don't want a huge investment. The control buttons on either side are very poorly placed, they are literally where you touch the glasses to adjust them so every time you touch the frames you're skipping songs, pausing, calling, etc. The button should have been placed at the back or on the top where they're not always getting touched. Just an annoyance, not a deal breaker.

I didn't have high expectations for the price of these sunglasses (black) but the sound quality is surprisingly crisp and full. I'm not an audiophile, so all I can really say is that the speakers have pretty decent range. However, I would argue some of the claims in the listing. "ensuring your privacy without disturbing those around you", is not an accurate statement. The speakers are built into the arms, near the ears, but they're still speakers. When I play music, even on low volume, others around me can hear what I'm listening to. So these glasses have specific uses in specific environments.Charging is easy. Each arm is sort of a standalone device and they are charged separately. There's a single charging cable, but it branches into a Y and attaches to each arm. Both arms must be powered on separately, but you only need to pair one of them to your phone or other Bluetooth device. The buttons are very low profile - I didn't even see them until I read the instructions. This is good, as they blend with the aesthetics of the frame. And they are multi-functional, but may take a little practice to commit the actions to memory. You can also use the glasses to trigger your phone to snap a photo if the photo app is open. This action took a couple attempts for me, as it tended to resume the music rather than snap a photo - though I seemed to have much better luck using the left-side button. And, if you touch both buttons at once, it triggers the assistant on my phone (at least for Gemini on Android - I haven't tested with iPhone). As for design and materials, the frames seem pretty solid and durable. The lenses are crisp and blemish free, albeit a bit on the darker side.I find this a pretty decent price, considering the range of features and sound quality. It would be better if the speakers could somehow deliver audio more privately. But short of bone-conduction technology, I really don't see how this would be done without compromising sound quality.
