It's exactly as it was presented. I had some old cassette tapes and this played them perfectly. The radio is great because I use it at the beach

Works very well. I'm able to do my daily walk with the music I want to hear.

The built in speaker is surprisingly good, loud and clear. Plays my tapes well and has the option to record and burn your own tapes

When it comes to old tech like cassette, I’m a fan of giving new life to vintage/used hardware. From experience, however, that can be risky and fraught with surprises. This cassette player offers something newer that just works. Build quality is definitely not up to the level of the higher end walkmans of old, but it is about on par with the cheaper options back then. The record option is mono and strictly for microphone use, attempting line-in recording through the mic port yielded poor results. The built-in speaker sounds about how you would expect. It is really close to the cassette, which could potentially degrade the recording over time.Pros:- stereo playback through headphones- recording for internal/external mic- built in speakerCons:- mic in is mono- speaker may be too close to cassette- no speed control (common with recording walkmans)- doesn’t seem to auto-stopConclusion:Cheaper than paying for a known-good used Walkman, brings all the charms of cassette playback while reminding you why CDs took over.

This is a good radio and tape player. Radio comes through crystal clear and tapes sound great. My two main complaints are:1. The power plug is on the bottom of the player, so you can't have it plugged in and standing up. You'll need to lay it on its side.2. The rewind and fast forward do NOT auto-stop. Not a huge deal (many Sony tape players also didn't auto-stop when using FF or RW back in the day), but I assumed a modern player would have this basic feature especially since it says "AUTO STOP" on the front of it. It broke of my tapes when it continued trying to rewind after reaching the end of the tape.

Just received my cassette player earlier than expected and WOW this is awesome!! Everything about it is great!! All the push buttons are a good size, the volume is good and the radio is great. I’ve been playing all my older cassettes and the player is working great. The only thing that I would have liked was a wrist strap, but I will just carry this in my belt back. Great price!! Don’t hesitate to get this!!!

As soon as I saw this cassette player I knew I had to buy it for my husband. It reminds me of the old ‘Walkmans’ of our younger days and brings back happy memories. The sound of this radio is MUCH better though, especially the bass. The volume can be turned quite loud with no distortion. I also love that I can finally play my old cassette tapes. It’s the perfect size to use while exercising or just running errands.
