We use this to brood baby chicks! We don’t have the space to build a heavy duty brooder so we use these pop up playpens as chicks brooders until they are too big. We love that it’s portable, as we had it inside, the mesh is breathable. And it’s obviously easy to pop up and down! We had 23 chicks in here until they outgrew it :)

The play pen just arrived yesterday. I really like several of its features. It pops open easily and is very spacious. The fabric skirting along the bottom edge is a good idea to prevent creatures from crawling up the sides or biting through the mesh portion. It's a good balance between enough mesh for visibility and air flow and security and durability. I like that the top can be zippered closed not only to prevent escape, but also to deter intruders. I am rehabilitating a little baby squirrel. He needs sunshine and exercise, and this playpen should facilitate that for brief outings in the morning. He definitely out grew his "hospital " enclosure, so with relief, this spacious enclosure provides what he needs for his new level of activity and curiosity. I would not recommend it as a 24/7 pen, nor to be used without a watchful eye as the materials aren't designed to completely protect against the ingenuity of gnawing, climbing critters, but it is so well designed as a enrichment play period for limited periods of time. Also I am impressed with the design feature of being able to fold it up into a compact disk for storage and transporting. A lot of thought went into this product. As far as durability goes, only time will tell. If used wisely and not as a permanent cage, I believe it should perform beautifully.

Ligero, útil. Para poner un hurón, nos ha ido perfecto.NO es impermeable, si se hacen pis dentro traspasará el tejido.No lo volverás a meter igual de bien en la bolsa en tu vida xDPero es muy útil, amplio pero no en exceso, y con la cremallera con rejilla de la tapa tendrás a tu mascota guardada pero sin fugas.No creo que retenga muy bien a gatos adultos, seguramente puedan romperlo o dañarlo con las uñas y fuerza. Mejor para cachorros y animales tipo hurones cobayas, conejos. Para hamsters será un castillo.

Over all I really liked this product. It was really easy to open great value for your money. And the assembly was super easy. The bottom wasn't very water resistant. Which is one thing, I didn't like. It also wasn't very portable but the quality was there, I guess? I had originally bought this as a brooder for some chicks that I got from tractor supply. It worked really well for my use. Although I didn't really like the way that the top opened. The top opening was the only thing that I didn't like because well, every time I would open the top, it would just scare the chicks a lot. I know that this wasn't necessarily supposed to be used as a chick brooder but it worked as intended for what I was wanting it for I just wish that the door on the top was an option.But I wish that it also had a door on the side to be able to open it from the side and get in to the chicks or the pet But this doesn't steer me away from it. And I will be using this item again in the future!

I didn't know that and thought I had ruined my carpet when I got home and the waterer was completely empty, so it was waterproof enough to save me. The mesh is really fine and none of the wood shavings gets out when the top is zipped on. And when we are done it will fold down into a very small size and zips into the bag provided for the next time we have chicks. Finally the shape allows you to put the radiant heater against a straight wall so the chicks feel safer underneath.

I got this for my young rats so they can roam out of their cage but still be confined. They seemed to really enjoy being in it and it is a decent size but they chewed through it pretty quickly so we weren't able to use it for long. It would be better suited for animals that don't chew on everything.

This worked perfectly as a brooder for my 7 chicks. I placed a tarp underneath it in my spare room, set the “tent” on top and then placed pine shavings in the bottom of the enclosure. I placed my rent a coop chick brooder, feeder, and rent a coop waterer in the tent and it was perfect for my 7 chicks. I positioned our 7 foot step ladder 🪜 so it straddled the tent and then hung our heat lamp holder with the appropriate watt bulb on a chain which I was able to adjust to the best height to achieve the right heat gradient for our chicks. Using the chain rather than the clamp dramatically increases safety and reduces the risks of fire. It took us 3 weeks longer to complete our coop than expected, so my girls lived in this tent for 9 weeks. Even though they were feeling a bit cramped by the end, it did keep them safe and secure with good ventilation throughout. The zipper top is brilliant. We ordered the olive green color so it was a bit more natural for the chicks to stare at all day. Highly recommend as a chick brooder. It worked very well for us.

I like this playpen better than others I've seen while searching, mainly because of the net lid that I can zip up.I used this for my kitten when she was getting used to new surroundings because she is very skittish so she'd hide under my bed and not come out to eat or anything. The playpen makes her feel safe, so I still use it for where she eats or to go in if she gets spooked (I put her carrier in it).I bought this 2 months ago and so far there have been no problems with it besides how hard it is to fold up. I can't fold it back into the bag because I fear breaking it, but I can fold it into the rectangle shape. If you're looking for a playpen on the go, I suggest looking elsewhere to find something easier to fold back up. If this will be open for long periods of time, then this is the perfect playpen!
