The plastic washers that are supposed to allow tightening so the Speedlite is in alignment with the umbrella mount may or may not work. One of the two did for me but the other was unusable

I switched from bulbs to LEDS. One of the benefits was going wireless and rechargeable but I needed new mounts for my light stands. These mounts came with a number of adapters (1/4, 1/8 and the standard) so you won't have any issue using them. You can even mount to a microphone stand if you felt like. They feel sturdy, lock in well and hold the fixed points they're set to admirably. Easy to recommend and I'll be buying more as I need.

I used these as mounts for a couple of large-ish Pressure Zone Microphones. I had some fairly tall light stands and bought a pair of booms. I used the 1/4-20 thread side as a mount for the PZM plate, and attached this assembly to the end of the light boom. This allows me to fly a pair of PZMs high over a choir and position them exactly where I want them for a great recording. The aluminum alloy is soft, but works for my purpose. The knobs work so far, but are fairly lightweight - I worry if I really screwed them down hard they would strip or break. For the price, this is exactly what I need right now, so great job!

There are many similar items here, so why not buy the one that's a little cheaper by a few dollars (a dollar saved is a dollar earned, an old friend used to tell me). It works very well, and the multi-purpose baby pin adapter that can be threaded in place of the cold-shoe adapter is a brilliant design. I bought these to convert microphone stands into light stands with the ability to hold an umbrella if needed. I like to use my LED panels on microphone stands because they don't have the tripod footprint and thus cannot stumble over them.
