Bought it as an valve extension for my front wheel. I need it something wouldn't let air out until I connected the inflator to the extender end (included with the scooter came a hose which let all air out once is connected to the tire, no sense). This works great. Escooters needs 50psi, so is much more easier to achieve 50psi without dealing with the included hose which looses a lots of psi while disconecting. Must have for Escooters.

I don't understand the bad reviews. THIS PRODUCT WILL SAVE ME MONEY ON BIKE TIRE TUBES. I purchased a 3-wheel adult trike. The rims needed a tire tube with 48mm valves...not the standard 32mm. This irked me because that meant spending about $8 on a tube instead of $4 per tube. This product works beautifully. I put the tube in the tire, pushed the 32mm valve thru the hole, then immediately screwed this valve extension on, then screwed on the cap from the 32mm valve. BINGO!!!!! Perfect fit. 2 days of riding around and the tube with the extension is holding air perfectly. It really makes me wonder about the bad reviews.

I wish I would have read all the negative reviews and listened. I bought an electric bike last year and the instructions really give no good information on maintenance and it is a nightmare figuring out the right stuff because electric bikes are not like regular bikes. I had to watch you tube just to figure out how to get the back tire off and NOTHING was mentioned about the tube having a longer stem so I ordered a puncture proof tube for a mountain bike only to find the air valve too short so ordered a valve extender. I went over the types of extenders and they all seem to have the same problem of poorly fitting seal. I just wish there were listings under the electric bikes for things like batteries and inner tubes. It is crazy that you can buy electric bikes but things like a battery has to be imported from China. I do not have a car and do not have a bike shop close (plus I am 67) but I am sure others look to reviews to figure out what and where to get replacement parts.

I used these on my 1965 Oldsmobile 442 which has wire wheel hubcaps. The plastic valve stem extenders that were on the valve stems did not work at all and I could not check tire pressure or add air to the tires. These solved that problem as a standard tire pressure gage seals well without leaks and reads accurately and I am able to add air to the tires easily. You may have to press hard to get air into the tire. I would suggest buying two packages (there are inexpensive) since I had problems getting one to work. One would not work on one valve stem, so I had to screw it on another valve stem and it would work. Having spares would eliminate the possibility of having one or more tires without an extender. These will not accept a valve stem cap. Those are grooves not threads at the end of the stem. Four stars for sure.

For use on retired person's adult tricycle with old fashioned plastic spokes that are too close to valve stem and tube has short stem. Impossible to grab valve if tire too low. Would like to leave them on, as need to add tire air frequently. Will test for leakage. Valve extension has threaded end for cap. My noisy electric inflator has good hose end, that can grab a short tube valve and gets past the close spokes--but my new hand pump has a bigger harder to use end that requires the extension valve. They don't make things as good as they used to---as I'm often saying. ---UPDATE--- Took away 1 star. Sometimes a bit of fiddleing is necessary to get a smooth air flow between the extension and bike valve stem. The extension is close to great, so should be 4 1/2 stars. Problem is most likely how I use the extension and extension probably works perfectly on a car tire or other bike tire situations. Actually, can't find a better extension anywhere. UPDATE 6/27/2014 -- I was keeping an extender on each tricycle wheel, but found a couple sticking caps where air enters, requiring some WD-40 cleanup, so not leaving on wheels now. note / decided to add 1 star, as extender really is useful & well made.......the problem seems to be pump valves and how they connect.
