This Slime Valve Core Removal Tool is fantastic! It makes removing and installing valve cores a breeze, saving so much time during tire maintenance. Bought this pro series valve core tool to keep in my truck tool kit. This is a great upgrade over the cheaper, more standard core tools. First because of its length which makes getting into valve stems on some wheels much easier. My truck's off-road wheels for example have a small area to access the valve stems, so something like the cheaper cross pattern tools would be nearly impossible to use. The second big win for this tool is the built in valve core storage. The cores are tiny and easy to lose but this tool comes with two cores and I added two more, so have a total of four spare cores stored in the handle. As long as I can find the tool in my kit, I know that I also have spare cores without a need to hunt them down.

This worked well in replacing the core on a riding mower wheel. The only problem was that it didn’t remove part of the inner core. Very difficult to get it out. There are no instructions. I guess if it removes the core then it is self explanatory? Still would have been nice to have instructions and troubleshooting tips for those times when it doesn’t go as planned.

The two front tires on my lawn tractor kept leaking air. Not unexpected since they are almost 25 years old. One was really bad and didn't last a day when filled with air. So I ordered some Slime tire and tube sealant to try and fill what ever was leaking, also a pair of Slime Schrader valve stems and a new Carlisle tire if the sealant didn't work. The valve stems looked good and the tire was from the same manufacturer as the original ones that lasted 24 good years. In the end I didn't use the valve stems or the tire because the Slime sealant did the trick. That stuff is great. I gave them 5 stars because both the stems and tire both looked well constructed and would have outlasted the tractor.

Purchased this valve core tool and it was money well spent. What I like about it the most is that it torques the valve core to spec which is important. If you’re looking for a quality tool that doesn’t cost too much this is the one to buy.

I used the tool to remove a valve from a self- sealing tube, which had begun to leak. I was able to remove the valve and clean it and eliminate the leak. My only complaint is that the tool length is just slightly too long and this caused the removal and replacement to take just a bit longer. All in all, this is a nice, compact, helpful tool to keep in your repair kit! (Ironically, this tool is made by the same company that caused the leaking valve)
