No more flats! Slime's Emergency Tire Sealant seeks out and instantly seals tread area punctures in automotive tires up to 1/4" (6mm). When a puncture occurs, Slime’s patented sealant is carried directly to the source. The pressure of the escaping air forces the particles into the opening, where they build up and intertwine to form a long-lasting, flexible plug. Instantly, air loss is blocked and a flat tire is prevented. No jack is needed to repair your flat tire, and the sealant is safe and easy to use. Don’t rely on roadside assistance (which can take up to an hour to arrive, leaving you in a dangerous situation) or on your spare tire (which is usually cracked or flat from lack of use). Instead install Slime in any of your highway vehicles (including cars, trucks, SUVs, RVs, trailers and much more) when you get an emergency flat tire to get back on the road quickly and safely.

Installation went well, but I haven't had to use it yet, so only time will tell.

If tire is on car make sure valve stem is pointing up. All air is expelled, some wrote trouble getting in tire, make sure u have a good valve stem remover the one with the can is plastic and may not be stiff enough to remve valve, I followed instructions and drove 5 miles and no lose of air, next morning it was down 10 psi, did errands most of the day, next morning and every time I used the car down about 10 psi, took a long drive 90 miles both ways and has not Lost any air for over a week mine was a slow leak getting worse, I plugged the tire a year ago and then recently it started losing air again so I used slime instead of replacing tire lot of life left on tread. I don't see how it will work for 1/4 inch hole unless it had temp. plug first or leave the bolt in and use slime until a proper repair, just my view, ill be carrying extra slime in my cars though, the donuts they have are junk, some auto's dont have any spare???? Just my views.

I got a giant screw (not a nail) a huge screw stuck in my tire causing a flat. I was able to yank out the screw and you could hear air hissing out. We filled the tire with this green slime as instructed then filled the tire with air and then drove it around so that the slime could seal the tire properly. This stuff works like a charm we have used it on so many flats over the years and I've never really written any review for it. But we've driven on a slime filled tire for years actually. It's the best and such an easy fix for a flat instead of the headache of taking your car into an auto body etc.

I had a golf cart tire that wouldn't stay inflated so I removed the tire from the cart, removed the schrader valve using the provided tip on the bottle, squeezed in about half the bottle and then moved the sealant around inside the tire as I rotated it and moved it in various orientations. I reinserted the valve, added air, sealed it to the rim and inflated it. I noticed small traces of the green fluid that had leaked past the seat on the rim on the inside so that must have been where the cause of my leak had come from. It's now been three days and even though the outside temps have dropped by about 30+ degrees the tire is still holding strong.Recommended.

I was using another product on one of my trailer tires and my neighbor across the street came over and said why are you putting that in the tire you need to Green stuff. And I ask him what are you talking about Green stuff he said hold on. I’ve got some. I’ll bring it right back after I watch that tire hold air for 30 days. I went and bought my own and I keep an extra one all the time this is really good stuff. Like I said it’s better than the other stuff And now that trailer tire has been holding air for better part of a year.

I’ve used Slime for years. I routinely get nails in my treads at job sites. As long as you have an air source available (go buy one of those portable tire inflators while you’re here), Slime is faster and easier than changing a tire. Just read the directions and do what they say. That includes their honest disclosure of what Slime can and can’t fix. There’s one exception which I leave to your discretion: The instruction say Slime is a temporary fix to get you to a place where you can replace the tire (within 50 miles, I think). Well, I’m sitting in a van riding on one tire I Slime’d six months ago, and another over a year. Slime’s lawyers will probably freak when they read this, and I respect the abundance of caution applied. Again, your discretion. Just keep checking your tire pressure after you Slime, and add air if needed until the little green flakes fully pack the hole and the pressure holds. If I replaced every tire I Slimed, I’d go broke.Buy a bottle for every car you own. And if you hunt, fish, or drive anywhere with tire hazards, buy two. And before you place your order, buy one of those tire inflators for each vehicle. You know you need one anyway. And please - buy the ones that plug into the cigarette lighter or hook to the car battery ‘cause you know you’re not going to keep the inflator battery charged. Ask me how I know.Hey Amazon - I want a commission on the add-on tire-inflator sales.

I was skeptical after reading some negative reviews but its been almost 3 weeks now and there has not been any punctures or tyre pressure loss for the two tyres I filled it in. These tyres would have pressure loss in a week which was probably because of very small punctures that cannot be really fixed (without deliberately enlarging them as done by some puncture shops and then ruining the tyre over time). I have an SX4 and had tough time getting punctures done with very unreliable fix done by local puncture shops. This product is a must have if you are experiencing frequent punctures or small punctures. Will post another review in 3 months.

I got a small construction staple stuck in my tire. Right on the tread, small holes. Exactly what this product is designed for. I followed the directions to a 'T', the Slime "clotted" in the hole and stopped the leak, and then I drove a few miles slowly to get the stuff well distributed in the tire. I measured the pressure over a few hours and it held. The next day I drove to work and when I came to my car that evening, the tire was flat. Lost pressure faster than when I had the staple in. It's been extremely cold here (Boston in February) and we've got a lot of snow, so my guess is that this stuff doesn't work too well in those conditions.I know people seem to have good luck with this, but I figured it would be useful to temper things a bit with the perspective of somebody for whom this product didn't work at all. Most importantly, watch out when using this in very cold weather. One more thing: if you look at the reviews you'll see that's it's pretty much either 5 stars (worked for people) or 1 star (didn't at all) with not much in between. It appears to work for about 3 out of 4 people, resulting in a pretty high average review (hence the four star overall rating). And that's assuming the Slime people are uncommonly honest and don't post false positive reviews. Put another way, THERE IS AT LEAST a 25% CHANCE THIS PRODUCT WILL BE A DISASTER FOR YOU. A 25% chance this will cause you far more trouble than if you'd just had the tire patched or used a more conventional tire sealnt, and that will make you deeply regret buying this. I'd actually say that for a product like this a 25% chance of failure is WAY too high. So, consider the 4/5 star review in that context. 4/5 might be a good rating for a TV, but for a product that is fixing something as important to your safety as a car tire, having a 3:1 ratio of five to one star reviews actually isn't that great.

I got a nail in one of my tyres which caused a slow puncture and i went to get it repaired as the tyres had done less than 4000 miles. I was told by the garage it was too close to the side wall and would need to be replaced at the cost of £180!! I remembered hearing about this slime stuff at a car show and i'll be honest, I wasn't holding out much hope but at £10 i was willing to give it a try.....Boy am i glad i did! The slow puncture has completely gone after using this once and i've saved myself £170, this stuff really works
