I originally bought the wrong model; my fault for not checking. Returned the original, customer service set me up with the right model and product arrived with 24 hours. It is working as promised.

I purchsased the skytec and scheduled installer. installer said my fireplace required a SKYTECH 3301 versus the Con-th. I am now the proud owner of both since the installer had a 3301 on his truck. Does the manufacturer accept returns after 30 days?

Only one that will work with a Pleasant Hearth from Menards. I went through 3 before i found this one. Much better than original.

Did not fit into space of unit that needed replacing. Wire connections did not match up. Had to modify everything to make it work. Disappointed in unit but modified because I needed heat right away.

Second one I replace in six years. The receiver was fine but the remote was not transmitting signals. I decided to play it safe and replace both the remote and receiver for baseline operations. Easy pairing, I used the same wires already snapped into the fireplace into the new receiver. Pairing is simple. Press Learn Button in Receiver, hear the beep, then press On or Off on the remote right after. It beeps three times and you're ready to turn on or off.

I bought this remote to control my firegear ventless gas logs since I decided to switch to heating my house primarily by propane instead of my heat pump. This remote control units works well for my needs. I can set it to 70 degrees and it will cycle the logs on at 68 and off at 72. The only reason I did not give this item a 5 star rating is that you cannot adjust the swing setting, which is the +2 off and -2 on setting that controls the logs. I should have done more research, but I was able to compensate by playing with where I put the remote. I placed the remote a little closer to the fireplace, which effectively cycles the logs on/off how I prefer. According to my central heat/air thermostat, the effective swing is now only 1 degree. My actual temperature varies from 69-70 degrees.
