Bought a house that had a fireplace but no key nor fire log lighter! Took me a while but finally ordered both and I could not be happier! Looks beautiful and has a good weight to it! It wasn't very scratch resistant, but I'll blame that on the opening it goes into for the valve! Works for me as Intended!

The keyhole itself is milled first to 5/16 and then a little further in it reduces to 1/4", allowing it to fit both valve sizes. The key seems to work, but it has me a little wary since it only has a very short amount of key that actually attaches to my 5/16 valve. Hopefully it's sturdy enough not to break.Color is more of a "gunmetal" or "black chrome" color too, I wouldn't call it "flat black" at all.Five stars though because overall it does work for me.
